Vitiligo is a loss of pigment affecting portions of the coat, skin, and mane and tail.
Vitiligo spreads in irregular patches, and may grow or progress over a horse's life.
Vitiligo tends to affect the face, elbow area, and groin area first, but can affect any part of the horse.
It is acceptable to create white streaks in the mane/tail as the only expression of Vitiligo.

• Coat: White patches where pigment is lost.
• Mane and Tail: White streaks where pigment is lost.
• Skin: Pale pink/white areas where pigment is lost.
• Eyes: Not affected.
• Hooves: Not affected.

Range:

• Minimum: May be hidden entirely.
• Maximum: Patches of unpigmented skin and hair that cover no more than approximately 1/4 of the horse.
