Necron decided it was time for a break from the deep tunnels and caves and return to the surface.  Traveling between both levels was simple enough, Pompy was a natural and remembering which turns to take to return to the surface, so Necron didn’t need to bother with remembering if they took a right or left.  Maybe they took the pet for granted, as that was quite helpful, but they chose to keep their opinions about the black little creature to themself....

The dungeon was cold and damp with dripping moss clinging to most surfaces making it slick underfoot.  But this was nothing new for Necron and their companion.  Pompy clung annoyingly to Necron’s mane, large red eyes looking into the gloom ahead.  Their presence was mostly tolerated but they had learned when they needed to give their chosen host some space.  Necron paused, ears twisting as they listened intently.  “Something else is here....
