Fern used to be a normal brown horse. Now all that’s left of normalcy are their brown eyes.

It happened some years ago, hard to tell how many. As an experienced dungeoneer they entered the dungeon just to find a place on the first level that they visited many times before. But this time something happened, a little slip of a hoof or maybe a stab in the back, they can’t remember. But it changed them forever.

The insides of a pitcher plant were full of dead, half digested creatures. But the plant itself was already dying having caught something more poisonous than it could deal with. When Fern woke up the weirdness already seeped into them. They cut their way out of the plant and welcomed the world as something else with a strange glimmer in their eyes and wildness not many could deal with.
