In his youth, Fulke was the leader of a party who gained some renown for their exploits in the dungeon. Just as his star was rising among adventurers, Fulke led an expedition into the dungeon that ended with his party being trapped underground for several harrowing months. The party never fully recovered, and many of his companions retired from adventuring altogether.

Fulke moved quietly into a role somewhat like a "park ranger" of the dungeon; he tends to its pathways and returns lost adventurers to the surface.

He doesn't go to the surface anymore himself, but... He's nice. He's normal. Don't worry about it.
