One part scholar, two parts smuggler, Meleph's forays into the dungeons are largely in pursuit of rare and valuable specimens to sell at exorbitant prices on the surface. Though his knowledge and fascination with plant life is genuine, his sense of responsibility and his ethics skew towards nonexistent.

Meleph often claims to be born under a lucky star; things just tend to work out for him. Friendly, sly, and curious, he is forgiving of others' flaws, both real and projected, and forges and forgets camaraderie with equal speed.
