NO WAY!
Dive Prompt: You wake from a short rest to find all of your equipment… Erm…. Bedazzled. Pixies are known to steal Coursers’ belongings and decorate them to their own tastes, which aren’t always the most practical in the dungeon. How fabulously inconvenient.
Event Prompt: Legend says that the Harvester is more likely to come out during the full moon that bears his name. Do you wish to meet him under the Harvest Moon? Or do you shelter somewhere to stay clear of its blood-red beams?

Izem and Merildis slowed as the screeching of the monster came to a halt behind them. The placement of the pit had left no convenient place to go around it, and the creature was obviously unwilling to jump it at risk of ending up at the bottom once more. They had put enough distance between themselves and the pit that they felt safe enough to rest their aching legs.
“I would appreciate a short rest,” Merildis said between breaths.
“I agree with you there,” Izem replied.
Sitting in a small cleared area, Merildis fell asleep quite quickly. Exhaustion washed over the puck as she finally came down from the panic of being chased by the same evil spirit for the second time.
“I guess I’ll keep watch first,” Izem chuckled.
The wave of exhaustion hit Izem like a truck and he could not keep his eyes open. Soon he was having a catnap, just like his traveling companion.
“Ummm… Izem?”
The cat-like courser opened his eyes to see Merildis looking at him in confusion.
“I fell asleep, didn’t I?”
“Yes, but that’s not the confusing part.”
“Oh?”
“Did you bedazzle our equipment?”
His eyes widened and he turned his head so he could see the bags attached to the sides of his harness. Assaulted by the sparkly vision before him he knew the pixies had found them while they slept.
“Well, the pixies found us and they got your equipment too.”
Merilidis eyes widened and she turned to look at her own equipment and bags, realizing the other courser was right.
“Should we try and unbedazzle our stuff?” she asked.
“It would take forever.”
“But we are more noticeable this way.”
“We’ll be fine… I think.”
“Okay…”
They went on their way, glittering in the darkness as their lanterns lit them up like disco balls.
A red light from the end of the tunnel they found bounced off the fake jewels stuck to their gear, lighting up the walls with red specks. It got brighter and bright the closer they got to the end of the tunnel.
“I think we found the end!” Merildis chimed.
The puck picked up the pace and Izem followed. The tunnel led them right into a field bathed in the red light of the moon. Their bedazzled gear made it impossible to hide from the red light shining upon them, but Merildis seemed unbothered.
“Maybe we should hurry into the trees….”
Before Merildis could say anything a figure rose from the grass, too large to have hidden amongst the rippling sea of red, instead it formed from it. Rising to tower above the two coursers Izem was met with a large jack-o-lantern with armor clad arms and legs. A large scythe rested in one of its hands, ready to harvest. Izem almost worried it was about to harvest them.
“Oh, Izem, this is The Harvester I told you about,” Merildis chimed
“Wait, the thing that warned you about the evil spirits?”
“Correct.”
“And I am here to present you with a proposition,” The Harvester added in a crisp voice, crackling like dry leaves beneath hooves.
“A proposition?” Izem questioned.
Merildis remained quiet, looking back and forth between the two.
“Help me gather souls for harvest and you shall be greatly rewarded…”
“NOPE! I’ve had enough of your spirits for one day!”
Izem shivered at the idea of trying to help catch spirits like the one they had run into and wanted nothing to do with such a hair-brained scheme. The cat-like courser began to stomp away to the safety of the trees, harness and bags sparkling red under the light. Merildis stayed for a few moments before nodding an apology to The Harvester and following the other courser.
The Harvester watched as the two vanished from sight, certain of the puck’s help and curious if the cat-like creature would give in to their greed and take such a risk for whatever reward The Harvester had to offer.
