• As you venture into the caverns, the light from the surface grows dimmer and dimmer. Darkness will be your constant companion from here on. How do you navigate the dark? Do you adapt to it, or fight against it?

As Shepherd ventured deeper into a sanction of the dungeon he noticed the darkness slowly encapsulating around him. With a small sigh of frustration he whipped his neck around to the saddlebags placed on his back and felt around for the lantern.

Shepherd was always taught to come prepared, no matter what situation would arise. Growing up in a family of proud dungeon explorers taught him that anything could happen down here, especially in the deeper parts of the first floor. Even though it was the most traversed, it had its tricks.

Upon finding the lantern, the faded black stallion made quick work of finding the matches and lighting the candle inside. At first he attatched it at his hip, which is where it sat normally, but realized quickly that this darkness was a bit... extreme. Shepherd furrowed his brows quizzically as he took the lantern into his mouth. He swore he had explored a majority of the dungeon , but he never reached this corner where it was almost night.

The hair on the back of his neck stood up as he pushed his way through, but he was quickly regretting his decision. He could feel eyes peering at him through the pitch blackness, yet every time he turned all he could see was a dark abyss. Shepherd's mind became cloudy and filled with dread, thoughts of disappointing his family and harm coming to Haren swirled around in his mind for what seemed like hours. But then there was light. Shepherd looked around quickly as he came to this new realization and... there was no evidence of the strange, sadistic darkness. The dungeon held more secrets than Shepherd had thought...
