The black stallion had always been soft spoken, and it carried over into adulthood. Even though he wasn't much of a talker, he made sure every word he spoke had a purpose and he always seems to know what to say. Shepherd is very benevolent, always trying to help coursers when he can, often putting others before himself. He has a very strong sense of justice, and is always trying to do what is best for others.

Shepherd grew up in a family where dungeoneering ran through their veins. His father and his father's father and so on were all experts of the mysterious dungeons so of course Shepherd's father was goingbto make sure he was no different. The training his father put him through was too rigorous and tough for a young colt, but Shepherd was told to persevere so thats what he did. He met Haren when he was young and the two were practically independent ever since. After a rough night with Shepherd's father Haren lashed out at him, cursing him for putting his friend through something like this. The two ran off together and started a life of their own, eventually having two daughters, Olive and Basil, and a small settlement for their family. Now the four of them explore the dungeons together, the two stallions teaching their daughters all the tricks and treats the dungeon has to offer.
