Oswin (He/Him) WC: 174

Oswin was doing his best to get the rest he needed on their adventure, but his father's harsh words continued to swirl around in his mind. After all, this is what he had been training his whole life for, braving the dungeon and facing tough battles and winning. Even though he didn't know where his father.... or his family was, he still had the urge to make them FINALLY proud of something he had done.

The nightmares agitated his thoughts, causing his slumber to falter and the yellow puck blinked his eyes open. As he was finally comming to, he heard a rustling and a murmur and glanced in the direction expecting to see his fellow party softly conversing. Instead, what he found were some unfamiliar faces snooping around in their belongings and HIS treasure.

Immediately Oswin stood to his feet and stomped his hooves on the cave floor. No one messes with his hard earned riches, and he was about to make it their problem.

"What the HELL do you think you're doing!?"

Shepherd (He/Him) WC: 189

The large stallion always slept best curled around his husband's spine. As he drifted off to sleep after their insane encounter from earlier that day, he dreamt of home. Shepherd knew his kids would be so excited to hear about their adventures when they finally got back home, but he couldn't help but miss them. He knew that Basil and Olive were in very capable hooves at least, so there was nothing to truly worry about.

His husband's snores always put him to sleep, but that night something disturbed his slumber. Shepherd blinked his eyes open and his ears were met with Oswin's shouting. And as the black stallion's eyes adjusted to being opened so quickly he saw unknown coursers going through their belongings and quickly turning their attention to Oswin. Shepherd got to his feet as quick as he could, towering over his companions and the other strangers in the room.

"Hey now. We aren't looking for trouble and neither should you."

Shepherd said firmly. He didn't believe in starting fights unless they were rightfully deserved, so he wanted to give these outlanders a fighting chance before... well...

Haren [He/Him] WC: 209

If you were to mention the red Courser’s snoring, he would vehemently deny any sort of accusations. Claiming he only did it when he was sick or laying in a weird position, this was simply not true. His snores softly drifted through the cavern, a faint smile on his sleeping face. Feeling the weight of his husband’s head laid across him with the rest of his body curled around, kept Haren in a deep slumber.

Dreams danced within his head, some of success and conquer, others of fighting, so much fighting. The dreams were feeling so real, metal clanging together and a multitude of voices grabbing his attention. It wasn't until he felt the larger body of Shepherd stand did he start to wake and realize that the moments in his dreams were being influenced by outside factors.

Loud words were exchanged and various shuffling of hooves echoed, one of which was Haren’s. Quickly he rose, ready to go head to head with the group of bandits.

“If you are looking for trouble, you sure as shit found it.” Despite his size, Haren’s voice carried. He stepped by Shepherd, his head lowered with ears pinned to his neck. “Choose your next actions wisely.” The Courser’s words dripped with venom.

Cassander [they/he] WC: 203

The younger variant courser was always a light sleeper, they knew better than to let their mind shut off while within the stoney walls of the dungeon. Haren’s snoring almost threatened to cause Cass to fall into a deep slumber. reminding him of his purple husband back at home. Nevertheless, he persisted, resting lightly and thankfully so.

They were made aware of the rogue group even before Oswin. They knew that the large puck would be confrontational, great for a distraction. The shadows enveloped Cassander like a warm blanket on a cold night, right where he belonged. He kept his golden eyes locked on the situation, keeping track of everyone involved.

It began to unfold just as they predicted, Oswin showing off his brute strength, Shepherd being the diplomat, and Haren being the undersized guard dog. His bite was surely just as bad as his bark. Cass kept to the edge of the cavern until he felt like it was necessary. With everyone getting their words in and the stranger group beginning to shuffle decidedly, they made their presence known…with a dagger to one of the unfamiliar equine’s throats.

“You might want to listen to them.” He spoke in a playful, sing-song voice.

You head back to your makeshift camp to rest after a brief but perilous exploration of a pit nearby. When you return, you find that another adventuring party has taken up residence and is rummaging through your treasure! Diplomacy is ineffective; these ruffians won't move unless you move them.
