Hyacinth is the estranged mother to Harpsichord. The two went their separate ways when Harpsichord was young.
Harpsichord never had a great relationship with her mother, and left at a young age to do her own thing, free of Hyacinth's strict disciplines. Harpsichord blossomed into a wonderful and kind young mare when finally on her own.
