[DD2] squad up
While he hadn't pictured finding a party quite this quickly, he's really... really not mad about it. Dwelling on them each, after his last adventure, he can only wonder how exactly they'd fit together in time. Four heads are better than one and all that, even if he hadn't shared all the details as to why he was adventuring at all. They all had their reasons, and the group is still just coming together. They're all capable, all competent, but he's learning how to trust. Learning how to work together. It's an adjustment and a learning curve, especially for the man who'd never pictured himself as an adventurer.
Rosery seemed okay, the agreeable sort. A good nose for treasure, and they had been more than kind overall. Level headed. Jay seemed to shroud himself in mystery, and Andrej knows better than to pry. Still, he's capable. More than capable, like he'd seen... far more than he cared to share, in his days. Something Andrej could relate to, on more levels than he would admit. And then there's Reina... fuck, there's Reina. She's lovely in ways he can't put words to, okay? Since the evening they'd met in the tavern, something magnetic seemed to draw him in to the woman. Shh. He's not dwelling.
But where did he fit in all of it? Andrej was bullish, hardheaded. The treasure isn't why he's down here, and his quest is one he keeps close to the best. Looking for any sign of Zora within the dungeon, trying to figure out exactly what fate had befallen his sister. Did his goals make him a liability? He'd been taking the 'charge headfirst into danger' route for as long as he'd been adventuring alone. Now? Now he had others to worry about. Their safety meant something to him, too. The impact of that on their adventures was yet to be seen, even if it left his stomach in knots.
