[BOSS] you got me talkin in my sleep
“I found something!” The voice was loud, obnoxious, flashy, disrespectful, pitiful, gregarious, smarmy, and just plain obnoxious. Unfortunately, he probably had found something. Say what you will about Ceres - and Crenia could say many things, but he was seldom a liar unless he was performing. She supposed, though, that he was performing the majority of the time, so he was likely lying.
Eirin didn’t seem to share her trepidation, but that wasn’t unusual - Eirin trusted easily and often, preferring to believe that the next thing wouldn’t be a lie, even if everything said before was. Crenia wasn’t sure how she did it… but, then again, she had little desire to emulate such an inane trait.
Feathered feet led her after the “magician”’s voice, attempting to act as though it was the direction she was already going towards. It wasn’t, but he didn’t need to know that. “What do you think you found?”
He pushed against something, straining without anyone offering to help. Crenia had to admit, though - it was something in this empty room. Eventually, the mirror was fully revealed.
Eirin was the first to peer deep into it, surprise and possibly horror on her face. Elayne barely looked at it, his entire attention instead on the cotton candy mare in front of him. Crenia looked, but the first thing she saw was Ceres, looking back at her from the glass, so she turned quickly. Nothing good would come from looking at the hopes in her supposed soul.
After hours spent breaking into what you’d assumed to be a treasure-filled chamber, your party finds a disappointingly empty room. Its sole furnishing is a tall standing mirror angled to face the wall. With some careful maneuvering, you are able to turn it and peer inside; reflected in its surface is the self you’ve always aspired to. What do you see?
Your party must make a Wisdom check to resist the mirror's enchantment and leave this place as you found it.
