Mac and Car were continuing their journey to forage and eventually reached a fork in the path and decided to go left, a new route… this opened up to a wide area filled with glowing mushrooms and small pools of water. “I’ve never seen this area before,” Mac spoke out, “so just keep an eye out for anything new or suspicious looking! You know what these places hold sometimes.” He looked back at Car, warning her to be a bit more aware of her surroundings than she usually is.

They carried on straight ahead, following a wet gravel path that had clearly been used before. It ended up narrowing and turning into a little tunnel that was barely big enough to fit the both of them. After a few steps in this spot, Mac felt the air get thick and muggy. He hadn’t experienced this before but he knew it didn’t feel good. He looked back to make sure Car was okay and once he was looking ahead again, he was faced with…. Himself? But it didn’t look… right… It was a goopy wet creature that had his traits and was mirroring his actions. “Are you sure this isn’t your true form, Mac?” Car bursted out, trying not to laugh. “Hey! Be thankful this isn’t you.” He huffed in response. The creature copied his words, causing an echo throughout the tunnel. 

After a few minutes of back and forth with this ‘being’ Mac had enough of it already, they both turned around and began to walk back where they came from but the creature followed. Mac stepped in one of the pools of water and realised the creature expelled a sound that Mac didn’t make… This made his brain start thinking. He drunk up some of the suspicious glowy water, turned, and directed it at the other him. It caused him to shrink and eventually turn back into a blobby mushroom being.
