[BOSS] THE SKULL HAS APPEARED! Kirito , Kai , graymoore , Iskra
Kai x Kirito
The black courser and the golden courser look up at the two doors one more time, examining the faces one last time before heading off in the direction the ochre pearl ether mare went down. Kirito could have sworn that he had seen a small little smirk appear upon the sad face, but when he turned to look again it appeared that it was still the same as when they had arrived. “I don’t think that going down this path was a good idea, I could have sworn the face looked a bit different because you had picked its door” the black courser trotted up to the mare as he tried to let her know that we could be going down the path with the trap, but she didn’t seem to care as she kept on making her way through the darkness of the cavern. He had to squint his dark eyes into the darkness as the lights from the spells were being affected and the torches were just as useless. The cavern was cold and damp as he could feel the drips of water every so often splash onto his nose and he tried to ignore it but eventually he had to stop and shake it off. Kai then passed him and moseyed along the pathway as he was excited to get his gold to add to his collection. “Seigmyer, once we get there I am going to need you to get all the gold that you can carry!” The golden trimmed chest’s googly eyes bounced all around rapidly, not giving a direct response to the golden courser's remarks. Kai tried to boost his golden light spell, so they could see properly in this darkness but even though it was at max capacity the eerie darkness still enveloped them whole. Luckily they hadn’t seen any deadly spike traps, so the group was thankful for that, but just as they thought that they had picked the right path, kirito could see a faint red glow off in the far end of the tunnel. “Um, does anyone else see that red light Even though this magical darkness is blocking our light sources?” The black courser stopped for a moment to assess the situation.
Graymoore x Iskra
Each step was bold, made with distinct purpose as the young female strode ahead with her head lifted high, dignified in every way as a masculine voice sliced through her peace and tranquility, disturbing her as her heated gaze now moved to bore through the dark stallion that made his approach. “Oh, it’s not a good idea, you say?” Her voice was full of contempt, and though she was physically shorter than him, her tone was all that ws needed to look down on him as she went on. Well, I never said you needed to follow me. If it’s an issue, you can scurry back towards the doors and go down the other path. It makes no difference to me.” The mare made no moves to slow down, nor did she show an ounce of empathy as she kept going, the darkness ahead threatening to consume her. Very little light from their torches made the pathway gloomy and dim, the damp, moist air offering little comfort as the little group marched on.
Graymoore was doing his best to offer his assistance to his companions as they all eventually fell in step after the stubborn mare, trying to offer a light source to them all, but upon realizing that none of his efforts were very effective, he took out his journal, flipping through it as he mumbled things to himself. I wonder what’s keeping the light at bay. Is it some sort of magical barrier? A forcefield? A spell, perhaps? I must have something in my notes here…” His dark eyes scanned each page left to right, digging through his many jotted tidbits on magic before he flipped to a clean page in his notes to write the effects of what he was seeing.
Soon, Iskra could make out a faint, red light, the very one that the black courser had mentioned. Curious, yet wary, she drew forward with cautious steps, as the red lights seemed to be emanating from red candles that lead into a wide, cavernous, candle-lit room. The eerie, crimson light spilled on the walls and over the floor, illuminating unfamiliar symbols on the floor which instantly caught Iskra’s eye. For once, her haughty demeanor was replaced with one of fascination as she slowly circled the markings, looking at each one in turn before she cast her scrutinizing gaze toward the group. Graymoore was one of the first to curiously follow after, eager to see what the room had to offer when he, too, laid eyes on the symbols. “Fascinating!” The brown stallion breathed, the air from his nostrils blowing away some of the dust as he inspected them closer. “You know, I believe I’ve seen these symbols before within this mysterious tome I found…” Graymoore murmured before he nosed his way through his bag, pulling out the dark book that looked time-worn and aged. He started flipping through the book until he found the symbols that were inscribed on the ground below, saying, “Ah! Here it is, this book seems to contain these odd markings, each one being listed right here.” He stood there looking quite proud of himself before Iskra marched over, ripping the book away from him before she began to scan through the words herself. “I know what this is! I can summon him.” She murmured almost excitedly to herself, only glancing up from the page's words to begin chanting the spell that was inscribed on it. Each sentence she uttered made one of the symbols light up in the same bright crimson that was within the room. Soon, all of them were lit, and the room began to shake and tremble. Without warning, A great, massive skull was awakened, filling the emptiness within the room with gnashing teeth as the creature demanded war on the ones who brought it here. Iskra started defiantly up at it, ready to fight. Would the others do the same?
Kai x Kirito
The golden courser sees the giant floating skull, and instantly jumps back, taking graymoore with him and uses his Golden blast as giant golden crystals started to form around him and once they were ready shot off like rockets towards the enemy in front of them hitting its mark as kirito quickly runs up with his Elucidator in his mouth and uses one of his sword skills combined with the Golden blast to do massive damage right of the bat to the skull. He watches as his teammate also attacks the skull head on, then it starts flying around quickly as it starts spinning rapidly, using its body like a bowling ball and flying to hit the coursers at random. First it tries to go for kirito and then iskra, as they both dodge it and the golden blasts keep bombarding the skull from a distance as it chips away at his life. The giant skull then targeted the golden courser and went flying right for them as graymoore put up a hard light spell to protect them. While the skull was distracted, kirito came from behind and used his StarBurst Stream and started wailing on its back, attack after attack, slicing and jabbing quickly as his sword was impossible to see with its speed. The giant skull then falls to the ground, lifeless as they wait to see if it starts to move again, or if it was down for good.
