As the sun rose with almost no clouds visible in the sky. Old Star eyes opened slowly. Old Star stretched himself putting his hooves on the ground. Little one floated into Old Star’s room through the string beaded doorway. The room lit up with a blue hue. Light beaming off Little one. Old Star could see the surroundings. The room that got lit up with the blue hue. Old Star’s room had a few pictures of some family members. Old friends. Those pictures were upon a cabinet that was large in length rather than height. Old Star looked at Little one. In his deep rusty voice spoke.

Old Star: morning little one. Have you rested well. You look like you were having fun? Is the boy awake?

Little one: *wisp sound that seems to want to say yes*

Old Star: all right well then… let us go down.

Old Star stood up straight. Walking towards the beaded strings doorway. Walking past the and little one following. Little one followed Old Star through the doorway. Going through the hallway upstairs the floor started to creak. Fenrir who was downstairs in the living room seen little one the wisp going upstairs quickly as if on time. Now hearing the floor above him. Due to the weight on the floor creaking. Slowly Old Star descended the stairs. Fenrir stood up slowly wanting to at least greet Old Star. As Old Star entered the living room. Fenrir in a higher pitched voice.

Fenrir: G-greetings Old Star.

Old Star: Morning. How did you sleep. Hope the bed is all right. It has been a while since I had visits.

Fenrir hearing the deep and rusty voice coming from Old Star made his heart jump a beat. The first time Fenrir met Old Star was inside one of the dungeons. As Fenrir walked into one of the hallways in the dungeon. Fenrir could see a blue hue. what gave off the blue hue was a blue wisp. Next to the wisp stood a tall black and grey with a white star on his head. With overgrown long hair. Wearing a scarf and a cowboy hat. Seeing the courser alone Fenrir decided to approach the courser. Old Star also noticed the young courser. A mostly white and sparkling coat with an odd blue and purple coat with some fancy marking on his head and neck but also smaller in size. Once Fenrir reached Old Star. Old star in his deep and rusty voice that gave him some charisma. With Fenrir’s reply being high pitched.

Old Star: hello young one. Are you lost?

Fenrir: G-Greetings Sir, I am not lost. But may I ask why you are alone? Or at least…

Old Star: I am not alone; I have my companion little one with me.

Little one: *makes sound that sounds incredibly happy upon hearing Old Star’s words*

Old Star: but it seems you are alone?

Fenrir: ah yes. I am currently doing a quest for a guild. To earn some coin.

Old Star: what is this quest your on? Maybe I can help out. Or should I say we.

Old Star started to laugh heartily. Fenrir’s heart started to beat rapidly and even louder. Fenrir feared Old Star would hear his heartbeat. Because Fenrir had fallen for Old Star at first glance. Old Star was Fenrir’s type. So, Fenrir accepted Old Star’s help. Old Star and Fenrir with Little one floating next to them. Starting to walk through the hallways. Talking about who they were. A bit about experience, family and friends and their current life. Fenrir was a bit sad and upset about the family part. That was something Old Star understood. Old Star got to know Fenrir was 18 years and so recently more adult. Having been exiled from his noble family. Kicked out of knighthood because of the family issue. Working currently as a mercenary or solo dungeons. Living more in the dungeons. Old Star in return also told his story. Being already 46 years old. Had some dungeon dive experience and living on his Farm. Lost his family due to illness or something dangerous. So, he was on his own. Fenrir felt bad for Old Star.

After a while Old Star and Fenrir arrived in a room. It was colder and more humid. Bones were scattered around on the floor. More bones were in the middle. In the middle of the room there was a pedestal with a closed chest on top of it. Fenrir wanted to get the chest, but Old Star stopped him. Old Star looked at little one who seemed to understand what Old Star wanted. Little One floated around the chest. But just as Little One played around the Chest it opened and started to swat with its huge wet tongue to the wisp. Fenrir was surprised that the chest was a mere mimic. Now that the mimic was exposed. Old Star turned around to leave the place. Fenrir followed since there was nothing Fenrir needed. Old Star looked at Little One who flew after Old Star and Fenrir. Old Star told Little One to show the way back home. The wisp got excited to lead the way back. During the way back Old Star invited Fenrir to stay over the night. Since it was getting very late and Fenrir agreed to it. As the duo arrived at Old Star’s farm. Fenrir looked around. At the barn-like house. Old Star showed Fenrir where he could sleep.

Now currently Fenrir was the first one to be awake. Old Star waking up later. Old Star started to make some breakfast. Giving Fenrir something to eat. While eating Fenrir asked Old Star if he could go with to one of the dungeons to collect a certain type of silk that was from certain bugs. Old Star agreed only that he had to do some farm work before going. Fenrir agreed to this and was even willing to help out. After a while of having done some farmwork. Old Star was done with the chores needed to be done for today. Now Fenrir lead Old Star with Little one to one of the nearby overgrown caverns.

Once inside Fenrir took the lead. Old Star walked behind Fenrir. Little one floated above Fenrir. Even in front of Fenrir. Slowly they made there way into the dungeon. The hallways were eerie. The coldness was stronger then yesterday. During the walk to the dungeon there was a being known as the harvester who warned those who entered about some odd beings. So, while in the very dungeon. There was not much. Some broken shelves. Broken crates. Some small bones. Huge moss and plant like stuff grown over the stones. Vines hanging from above. As time passed going through the dungeon. Searching for the silk. There was a room at an end of the one off the hallways where there were these silky threads hanging around. Fenrir got excited because it was something he was looking for. Old Star was glad that Fenrir found what he was looking for. Entering the room. Little one lightened up the room in a blue hue. There was another hallway on the right side. But at the end of the room there were huge cocoons. There were big caterpillars walking over the cocoons. They seemed peaceful creatures. Fenrir asked Old Star if he were able to collect the silk. Old Star agreed that he was able to collect it. So while Old Star started to collect the silk. Fenrir started to explore the rest of the room. Fenrir turning to the other hallway. An eerie sound a sound where a certain type of hoof like sound a bone rattling sound. At the end of the hallway a red glow started to appear. The eerie and deadly gut feeling entered Fenrir. The red glow the sound of hooves came closer very quickly as if it is running towards Fenrir. The closer it came the better Fenrir could see what it was. As it was close enough Fenrir turned around and started to run back. The red glow became a skeleton courser with a red flame inside of the chest. Horrible teeth and bony figure. Running very quickly after Fenrir. Who also started to run away. While Fenrir was running Fenrir called out to Old Star to run. Old Star while collecting the silk stopped to look up where the sound came from. Now Old Star seeing the skeleton courser running after Fenrir. Old Star looked at Little one asking the wisp to distract the skeleton courser. Little one the wisp was gladly willing to do it. Flying in front of the skeleton. Trying to distract it. Old Star that ran after everyone slowly caught up. Only to fall into the skeleton courser. The skeleton broke as easily as Old Star fell against the unknown creature.

Fenrir: OLD STAR ARE YOU OKAY!

Old Star: Yes, I am fine a few scratches but otherwise fine. I guess this must be the creature the harvester from before warned us about. A courser made of bones but acted like an odd wolf. Red and evil in nature. Desire for death and destruction.

Fenrir: your right.

Fenrir and Old Star looked at the Skelton courser that now lay motionless on the floor. Fenrir started to pick up the pieces. Maybe hoping it may bring certain coin for them. Old Star had some rope for carrying the poor skeleton courser. As Fenrir had picked up all the pieces. Old Star, Fenrir and Little one slowly made there back to the entrance. Once at the entrance they searched for the harvester. Once at the harvester they gave back the bones of the odd being. The harvester gladly accepted the skeleton. A while later when Old Star and Fenrir reached Old Star’s humble abode. Old Star given Fenrir the caterpillar silk. What felt particularly good to the touch. Fenrir was happy that Old Star was able to gather the amount of silk. Now the only thing Fenrir had to do was complete the quests. Old Star waved or told Fenrir goodbye as Fenrir left the Farm. Fenrir left towards the guild nearby.

As Fenrir arrived at the guild many other coursers were walking around the place some trying to form parties. Other coursers wanting to pick a good quest. Others were finishing their quests. Others were having a blast by eating and drinking. Lucky here nobody knew Fenrir. No one from the knighthood or from his noble family. Fenrir walked towards a courser behind the counter to hand in the quest with all the items that were needed. The courser was incredibly happy to see Fenrir well. She took in the items and the quest scroll. After a little while of checking the courser came back with the reward.  The reward being a couple of coins. Fenrir was glad he got the coin. After the quests were over. Fenrir started to look at the quest board again. But could not find a suitable quest for himself. Since many needed at least 2 or more. Fenrir did also not have a mercenary scroll for hiring someone for a quest. If getting one needs coin as well. So sadly, he did not have enough to get one.

Fenrir turned around to walk towards the quest board once more. Sadly, enough there was not a quest at the time Fenrir could take. Seeing this Fenrir turned around and walked away. Outside of the guild Fenrir slowly made his back to Old Star’s home. Arriving at Old Star’s home. Fenrir knocked on Old Star’s door. Old Star opened his door seeing Fenrir.

Old Star: welcome back. Did it go well at the guild?

Fenrir: G-Greetings Old Star. It indeed went well. Would I be able to stay here for a while?

Old Star: sure thing. I do not mind it.

Fenrir: Thank you. I will pay the coin. How much is needed?

Old Star: I do not need any coin Fenrir. If you help a little bit on the farm, then I do not mind.

Fenrir: thank you.

Old Star: your welcome.

Little one happily floating from one side to the other.
