[DD1] {DD1 - Losgrin} Marco Polo
- You stumble upon a fellow adventurer who is hopelessly lost on this level of the dungeon. Will you help them? *Can* you help them?
Losgrin felt gravitated towards the Dungeon. He had only explored it a time or two, and certainly not in depth. Los enjoyed the surface. Everything about it, from the sunshine that warmed his muscles, casting shiny rays of light into his mane, to the fresh air with its scents full of grass and soil. He stood at the entrance, letting out a small, unenthusiastic sigh. "No time like the present", he said quietly to himself. If Los was truthful with himself, he would say he was amazed, yet slightly frightened by what lies in the Dungeon.
At any rate, he lifted one hoof and set off into the Dungeon. Los was blessed with a decent sense of direction, but the size of the Dungeon was quite intimidating. He looked around, noting the accumulation of various mosses, plants, and creatures. Though they did not all appear dangerous, Los was very inclined to keep his distance. The last thing he wanted was to touch the wrong thing or stumble upon the wrong creature and reap the poor rewards.
Los made his way through various sections of the Dungeon, leaving specific marks on his path. He certainly did not want to get lost. As he continued his journey, he heard a voice call out. Los lifted his head and turned his ears in various directions, furrowing his eyebrows. "Hello?!", Los called out, hoping it wasn't some sort of trick to lure him to certain death. "Hello?!", Los called once more. Chuffing out a sigh, he turned down a path. "Is anyone there?!", the same voice from before called out. This time, Los was sure it was no trick. Someone was in trouble, fright thick in their cries for help. Losgrin turned around and came back to where he first heard the voice.
"Who said that?", Los called out to the mystery identity. "Please. Help. I am hopelessly lost. Can you help me find my way out?", the voice answered to him. "I suppose I can try. I'm not sure where you're trying to go, but the best I can do is get you back to the opening of the Dungeon", called Losgrin. "Thank you! Thank you so much! Though I have no idea how you will find me. I can't give you directions, as I have no idea where I am", the lost adventurer responded. "Ah, that's perfectly alright. Let's play Marco Polo. I can simply follow the sound of your voice", Losgrin stated, with a touch of humor in his voice.
Losgrin started the game, calling out "Marco", to which the lost adventurer replied with "Polo". Los was sure to mark his trail, so he could guide the adventurer out of their predicament. In a matter of minutes, Losgrin had arrived to see the lost equine standing before him. Losgrin wasn't much on sharing information, and didn't expect the lost horse to share much either no matter how thankful they were. "Follow me, I marked my trail.", Losgrin stated rather flatly. The other horse nodded their head and began to follow Losgrin from the Dungeon. Together, the pair trodded along in silence. Losgrin was grateful he didn't discover a chatty adventurer, he wasn't in the mood for polite and simple conversation.
As they reached the mouth of the Dungeon entrance, Losgrin turned to face the rescued individual. "You know, I'm not one for advice, but it may would be wise for you to mark your path next time you go down there.", Losgrin stated. The other horse nodded, and exited the Dungeon. Losgrin turned back to face the path they had just come from, feeling the longing to return.
