The Battle to Save The World- Kirito

This was the final night for the harvest, and kirito was on edge as it was due to the dreams that he was having. He could see him fighting a powerful foe, but he couldn’t make out what it was. So he made his way around the town, making sure he was stocked up on healing items and any other things he might need this night. If you looked around right now during the day, you wouldn’t notice anything different. The sun was shining and the birds were chirping. Kirito looked down to make sure his spirit was ready for whatever would come, and

then Casper nodded in assurance. But once night comes, it will be a whole new world as no one will be out, not a soul. Kirito laughed to himself as he didn’t entend the pun and went on to the next stall, it was a newer looking stall with the fresh wood and the dark tapestry around the sides and was run by what seemed to be a younger courser that had a red coat with black along his hooves. “Hey I haven't seen this shop before, what is it that you have to sell?” kirito inquired about the shop as his ears perked up to listen to the list of items. “Well this is a specialty shop, we sell items that are more.. On the rare side” the red courser tilted his head, squinting his eyes to see that the black courser in front of him wasn’t wearing any armor or seemed to have anything special to suggest that he could afford his prices. Kirito noticed his judgmental stare and pulled out his giant pouch full of gold, way more than what the average courser was carrying around. “I believe I will take my business elsewhere” with that, the black courser with white trim turned around and flicked his tail as he made his way to the next stall over as he could hear the shop keeper trying his hardest to get his business back. He went ahead and bought the most expensive thing that was at this new shop, was a healing elixir and went on his way. Once again as he made his way through the market he could hear whispers and rumors going around about the harvester and what the final day meant. The bustling town turned into a ghost town by the time he finished his preparations. All the lively coursers were gone, and a tumble weed rolled across the road. The sun wasn’t quite at its lowest point in the sky yet, the oranges and yellows were just starting to hit the rooftops of the town but it seemed everyone wanted to get inside early. As the lone courser walked down the worn brick path, he came to the entrance to the dungeon and looked down it for a moment before he went ahead and walked into the entrance, the light behind him slowly fading into the distance as the courser rumages through his bag, pulling out a torch and lighting it, so he could make his way down into the dungeon depths. The black vines seemed like they were going to burst with energy as there was a lot more spirits than usual all heading up to the surface as he was the only one heading further down into the depths below. The usual water dripping and vegetation was there as well, but it definitely had a different feeling than before. He eventually made his way to the throne room that he had found before, and who was sitting there was the giant harvester. Who seemed more tense than usual. As the black courser made his way in front of him the skeletal cloaked figure stood up. “My job is to lead the lost souls of the dungeon to the afterlife, but every year there is always…something that tries to stop me. That is why I was gathering up all the spirit energy to combat this threat. If this threat were to make it to the surface, it could mean the end to everything as we know it…will you fight with me” the black swordsman stood there in thought, a bit excited at the thought of an enemy that could pose some sort of challenge to him as his black eyes met the gaze of the harvester. “No one can beat me and my skills, so I will fight alongside you to get the job done. With that the harvester went ahead and handed kirito his weapon back that he had entrusted with him the previous night. It was indeed the old rusty pitchfork that he had before, but now it seems like it had taken on a transformation, one of which gave it tremendous power. Kirito's black eyes widened as he took the powerful weapon and thanked his now party member for the gift. At that the harvester went and started heading deep into the dungeon’s caverns behind his throne room, and after walking what seemed like miles, they had come to a big room with walls crumbling along the sides, and a set of old stairs that lead to the weakest point of the veil between this world and the next. Kirito looked at it with curious eyes as it was something that he had never seen before in his life. As he stood, awe struck for a moment, the Harvester went through the veil at this point and kirito didn’t hesitate to follow him through the opening in the veil. He went through and his surroundings changed instantly, everything had a tint of red to it and it seemed like they had been transported to a graveyard of sorts with old wrecked gravestones, some were in readable condition, but others weren't so lucky. He went ahead and looked back to make sure the entrance was still there, and it was but who knew for howlong. He turned back and walked to where the harvester was standing, “Not all spirits are peaceful. Some of them burn with a rage they did not come by on their own in life." The harvester spoke as they traversed through the cemetery, kirito wondering what they were looking for as they walked. The scythe the harvester was holding started to shake as they got closer and closer to something and in the distance there was an open field in the center of it all, and a large dead tree that didn’t have any leaves on it, its branches and trunk looked like all the life was sucked out from it long ago. Kirito quickly grabbed onto his new weapon as he saw something under the tree, something that looked so grotesque. a Courser, you think at first, but no. This is no Courser, but a monster in Courser shape. Its eyes glow red with malice; its skull is gaunt, its movements predatory, more wolf than equine. You can feel its corruption. Its wrongness. “What is that…that thing?” the black stallion asked as he studied its movements, looking at its shape and body and studying on how it was going to move and attack. “That is the corruption of this world. It turns the rage of the lost souls that can’t find their way back into its power, and if it escapes, it will be able to infect the whole world with its corruption.” The harvester readied his scythe for the battle was about to commence. “This is the moment we have been working towards, let us defeat this monster and you will make it back alive” with that the harvester jumped into battle, rushing forward quickly as he swung his weapon almost at an unseen rate of speed, slicing at the wolf equine figure as its eyes glowed a brighter red, and it caught the harvesters scythe in midair, as the two of them locked eyes. In that moment kirito rushed in after him and instantly activated one of his sword skills and instead of glowing blue like usual, it had a glowing red light emanating from the pitchfork as he quickly thrusted it forward to hit the head of the enemy. The werewolf tilted his head back, anticipating his movements as kirito had just missed him, then he jumped back as the monster had thrown the skeletal figure back and charged straight at kirito, swiping its claws. The black swordsman had just enough time to spin the pitchfork quickly with enough force to start the shield skill and blocked its attack as his feet dragged along the ground from the force. He wasn’t able to keep himself from sliding back and hitting against a nearby gravestone as he fell onto his back, his weapon in the mouth of the beast. At that moment the harvester jumped in and sliced its back while its guard was down, thinking kirito was going to be easy prey, and it jumped up into the air quickly and slid back to where the tree was. Kirito quickly got up from the ground and readied himself for the next wave. This time kirito went in for the first assault, dodging the wolf's claws and then sliding around him, as his weapon once again glowed a red and activated his burst stream skill. With a flash of bright red going over and over throughout the area, each attack went quicker and quicker onto the wolf, equine monster as the speed of his attacks were even faster than before and more devastating. He got in sixteen strikes in what seemed like the blink of an eye and the monster fell to its knees, in that moment the harvester took the opportunity to go for a finishing blow, his scythe glowing black as he jumped and tried to stab him into the ground. In that moment, a powerful shockwave rushed from the werewolf monster and flew them both back, one on each side of him as it started transforming. It now had more corruption all over its body than anything else, as it turned into an unrecognizable monster. It seemed more powerful than it was before as he readied his weapon. At that moment, its body started shooting black poison-like streams from it and kirito barely managed to dodge its attack in time. As it hit a grave behind him, it got corrupted and crumbled instantly. After the barague of attacks, kirito and the harvester did a joint attack onto the corruption, their weapons hitting its body at the same time, and then slicing through a bit as they jumped back in time to dodge its poison attacks once again.  Kirito jumped into the harvesters hands and then he got thrown like a bullet towards the grotesque monster, as he flew through the air he started spinning like a corkscrew, flying towards the corrupted monster and hit squarely in its chest, still spinning as his weapon dug into its body and spun getting stuck inside. He then pulled out his twinblade and sliced one of its arms off, as he then jumped back, listening to it scream in pain. It then started running in a circle, surrounding the two of them, running faster and faster like a blur, then all of sudden kirito felt scratches appear along his body, as he then tried to block the attacks that were being thrown at him. The harvester sent a shockwave of a black aura from its body out in a big half circle as it quickly grew and flew outwards, disrupting the corruptions movements. In that moment he had gotten stunned and kirito rushed in again, this time with his old reliable twinblade, and used his burst stream skill, his sword glowing a brighter blue as it had more power than ever before, and started jabbing and slicing through the enemy over and over again with blinding speeds as his slices started damaging it and over and over again he got his attacks in, each arm and leg getting sliced off and as it screeched, the harvester came in and sliced its body in half. Then at that moment, the corpse started crumbling apart and the weapon that was lodged inside its body had fallen to the ground. The black swordsman quickly picked it up and took it as a trophy of victory. In that moment, the harvester picked up the courser, and rushed to the entrance of which they came and threw him through it as it started to close. As kirito looked back to the portal quickly, he saw the harvester bow his head in thanks, and then the portal closed for another year. Kirito was now back at the harvesters' throne, playing the events of what just happened in his head as the only thing he had from the events was his new weapon, the harvester's pitchfork, and his spirit companion that was still with him in the shadows. After leaving the dungeon, it was late in the middle of the night, but peace seemed to be back in the moonlight, as creatures could be heard again, owls hooting and other wildlife in and around the area. Kirito smiled to himself as he was happy that he was able to save the day and get that much closer to figuring out the secrets of this world, and why the dungeon exists in the first place. He made his way through the town in the moonlight, as he made his way back to his house. Plopping down into his bed and instantly falling asleep, and this time he was able to sleep through the night without any issues.
