"Oh, no legs… This is fine then…" Tamsin murmured suspiciously, getting down low to peer at the slime. They could see their gear through the slime. It's green-blue body translucent that it merely warped what he could see on the other side, stretching his things to ridiculous proportions. He didn't think he would wear that hat if it looked like that on his head.

Chuckling to himself, Tamsin trotted around the slime, content to continue packing down his campsite, ready for another day traversing the dungeon. Maybe he'd find treasure today! A sparkling necklace or a chest filled with gold. Or perhaps, he'd find another root or a herb, and pack it away beside the other plant matter he was carefully drying nearby the heat of the fire. He took it down carefully now, packing it away.

A quick glance over his shoulder showed the slime bobbing a little closer, but pausing when he turned back to look. Oooookay then.

They made a quick thing of it, hoisting his bags over his back until they hung down on either side of him. The smile bobbled a little bit in place, as he dropped something nearby to it, but it didn't flinch away from the projectile.

Since Tamsin was pretty sure the slime didn't have ears, he didn't say goodbye to it. That'd be a waste of time, right? He paused about halfway down the tunnel, turning back when he decided that was the wrong thought and that it would be rude to not say anything.

The slime was right behind him, squelching along only a foot or so behind him. "Oh, right. Have a good day slime! See you never."

A long, thin limb extruded from the slime, and it waved at him.

"UM." Glancing around, Tamsin wished there was someone else here that he could say 'are you seeing this???' to. Alas, he was alone with the slime he realised was definitely sentient.

"Did you… want something to eat?" It shifted a little closer, and Tamsin took a few steps back, turning his head to rustle around in his packs and toss a ration the slime's way. It wobbled over the top of the hard-packed bar and consumed it entirely, pieces floating around in the aqua body cavity.

That was… actually pretty cool. "Come with me, slime! We can adventure together! I'll find you things to eat," Tamsin offered confidently, turning around and starting to head off again. The slime trundled along behind him, although it seemed to be getting closer with every turn of their head.

"Uh, buddy, maybe you could give me a bit of space, yeah?" Tamsin said, when he nearly trod on the thing it was travelling so close.

And then it grew in size. Swelling outward as the surface began to bubble, grotesquely distorting its size and shape, until it was nearly reaching Tamsin's knee. "Uh… was that the food I gave you…?" Tamsin murmured, trying not to sound horrified, as it continued to bubble and expand until it reached the size of a foal.

"Y'know what. I think it's probably gonna be way better if we just travel alone, ya know?" Tamsin said, taking a few steps away. The slime followed. "Well, it was super nice meeting you. Imma just head that way, and I heard there was a slime paradise super far the other way." Multiple limbs grew outward from the form, stretching toward Tamsin as he backed away.

"I THINK YOU'LL DEFINITELY LIKE IT OKAY BYEEE." The slime grabbed at his tail, snagging a few hairs in its sticky grip, but Tamsin whisked away. His hair pulling free from its roots as he pulled free. Despite its size, the slime was too slow to follow Tamsin as he galloped away, taking random turns to try and avoid the pursuing creature.

Of course, now he had no idea where he was. None of these halls looked familiar to him.

Hanging his head, Tamsin continued on, trying desperately to think of the looks on people's faces when he came home decked out in loot, and not on creepy crawlies.
