[DD3] Wondering of the Meaning
Banjo was regretting his choices to come to this place. His eyes scanned the land in front of him. The sky was grim and dark. The sounds of crows cawing filled the eerily silence. The land held evidence of an ancient battle. Seeing bones of unidentifiable species. Definfinaly giving Banjo a chill down his spine. He also didn’t enjoy how dark it was.
At least he wasn’t alone. Banjo’s brown eyes looked back to the other Courser who was with him, Terrence. He could see the other male walking with such high regards. At first, Banjo was annoyed with the constant bolstering from the dark coated stallion. But ever since it got silent in the dungeon, he welcomed the chatter.
“Hey! Are you listening?” Terrence called out, looking over towards the tobiano male.
Banjo blinked for a moment before saying, “No, sorry.”
Terrence shook his head while rolling his eyes, “Keep up, rookie! We are going to be entering a known battle field. Stay close.”
“Alright,” Banjo sighed as he kept behind Terrence. His eyes looked around the area. Seeing evidence of battle here. Scattered pieces of armor and weapons, bones of Coursers and other creatures, blood splattered about. Banjo shook his mane to get the creepy feeling that was developing on his neck. Something flashy caught his eyes. He looked to Terrence as he moved through the area, going on about something that Banjo could not understand.
Stepping to the side, we went over to where something piqued his interest. Walking over to see a pentacle with two Coursers’ heads laid over it, each appearing to bite the other in the neck. Confused on the depiction. Banjo tilted his head, “Who would want this made? Was this a battle between Coursers?” He wondered out loud as he looked about. Unsure what the meaning was behind this was.
“Rookie!” Terrence called out as he trotted back over, “What did I say?”
Banjo gestured to the pentacle, “Do you know anything about this?”
The other male looked over and scanned what Banjo pointed out. Humming in response, “In reality, no. Who knows what Coursers of the past made it represent. Why guess if we are possibly incorrect about its meaning?”
“I suppose you’re right about that.” Banjo gave a small nod. Glancing back to Terrence as he poked fun, “And here I thought you knew everything.”
“Don’t push it,” Terrence narrowed his eyes with a huff. Turning around as he spoke, “Come now, let’s keep going. Don’t need to awaken anything here.”
Banjo felt another chill as he followed behind, “Yeah…Let’s not.”
Much of the regalia you find torn and bloodied across the battlefield bears the same sigil – a pentacle with two Coursers’ heads laid over it, each appearing to bite the other in the neck. What do you make of this odd symbol?
