[DD2] Return back to Sender

Crispin had tied a string around the beast's body, almost akin to a harness. Attaching the end of the line to a fire ant he had found in their travels after the.. creatureling had shown interest in it. This was largely successful after the little beast had stopped chewing on the line, seeming almost mesmerized by the ant.

Crispin faced a new challenge now, getting the ant to follow him. A deep and low sigh would leave the courser's body, attempting to lead it along with a leaf tied to a string.. much to his belief, this seemed to work. Off the three went, Crispin at the front, followed by the ant.. which was then followed by the creatureling.

Teeth's head would whip up after having it's gaze locked upon the fire-ant, neck twisting as it glanced around the area, nostrils flaring to take in the scent before a grin would uncomfortably twist it's way across the creatureling's muzzle.

Home.

Crispin glanced back towards the creatureling after it's hoof beats couldn't be heard against the hard stone floor, tilting his head. "What have you caught wind of now.." He'd mutter out, voice drawn out and tired. The beast had tried to run off after something earlier, only to be stopped by the string attached to the fire-ant. After all, the fire-ant was no small creature compared to the 'foals' body.

Teeth's head would twist back towards Crispin, a long drawn out whine sounding from his chest once more before he'd sit back against the string, hooves scraping against the floor as it attempted to pull away from the ant.

It smelled it's Not-It and it's parent. It Needed to go. Now.

Before Crispin could react, the Creature appeared. It's gangly and unsightly form standing above the little beast, having seemingly appeared from nowhere. "Oh, uh.. where's your.. owner?" Crispin would muse, though he wouldn't receive even a noise in return. The Creature seeming occupied with drooling and dragging it's tongue across the foal shaped creature on the floor.

Teeth would chirp happily up at it's parent now that it was safe, clacking it's teeth together in an almost foal like manner. It's tail wagging happily behind it as it tried to get ahold of anything to bite onto, only to be quickly picked up by the Creature, going limp as it'd be scruffed and dragged along. As if it was a kitten being picked up by it's mother.

"Okay. Okay. Crispin, don't freak out. You're sure it's fine."
The white courser would stand there in disbelief as both the little beast and the fire-ant were dragged away.

Creature placed the Teeth down on top of the Spellsword, carefully doing so as to not disturb the other not-it's.

Teeth, however, would immediately latch it's many teeth in it's large mouth onto it's Not-It, it's Spellsword. Which of course led to the Spellsword letting out a sharp noise, causing the Teeth to let go with a whimper.

This would cause the other Not-It's to awaken, sparking a conversation between the Litany and the Shield. Teeth wouldn't be listening, too occupied with grooming it's Spellsword as an.. apology? for biting it. The Teeth hadn't drawn blood, so the Teeth didn't see a reason to apologize.. but it upset the Spellsword, so apologize the Teeth must. At least according to the larger Not-It's.

"Litany. We have to get rid of.. it." Shield would gesture towards the little beast that lay on top of Spellsword, desperation lacing his breath. "It's a nuisance, a danger even, to the party."

"The odds of surviving the dungeon are greater in numbers. Every Courser has their role in a party: what’s yours? Or do you prefer to work alone without dividing your spoils?"

Teeth is a nuisance, a danger, a liability, that's it's role :]
