Marmalade mewed at Moonlit as they kept walking. Moonlit hadn't expected to be gone this long, but got lost. "I know, Marmalade," she said with a sigh, knowing around now was the time she'd feed him. "We're going right now. I just need to find the exit." Moonlit couldn't tell where they were. Everything looked the same. "Maybe buying that map wasn't such a bad idea, after all."

Moonlit jumped as she heard a squeak. Marmalade shot up with a trill as he noticed a strange colored bat staring at them from the ceiling.

"Oh, hello," Moonlit said, "Sorry, did we interrupt your sleep? We were just looking for the exit." The bat seemed unbothered, like it was going to ignore them, until the word exit left Moonlit's lips. The bat perked up, cocking its head. "…Oh, you know what that means? Exit?" When Moonlit said the word again, the bat unlatched from its perch and flew over to one of the many connected tunnels, squeaking and waiting for Moonlit to follow.

Moonlit smiled and followed the tiny creature, who seemed eager to show them out. Soon, they saw the light of the red moon at the end of the tunnel, and Moonlit could smell fresh air.

Like blood in water, the blue night sky turned red from the Hunter's moon. "Wow, it's kind of pretty… in an ominous sort of way."

"Johnny? Oh… hello," Another courser, a palomino weld, but the look of them greeted moonlit. "I see you found my bat."

"Oh, I see; You trained him to lead you out of the caves." Moonlit said.

The horse nodded, giving the strange mare a smile. "Oh, he helped you? How sweet," they said with a chuckle, and the bat flew down to the pouch they wore around their neck, climbing in and snuggling amongst the warm leather and fabric that made it up. "My name is Honey. It's nice to meet you."

"It's very nice to meet you, too. My name is Moonlit Skies."
