[EASY] Familiar Faces - Euele, Leiken, Solace, Melt
It would be a lie to say the fight had been easy.
Afterall, it'd ended up taking the four adventurers an hour of fighting to finally defeat the books.
An hour that nearly completely exhausted the magic users and had basically left Solace and Melt feeling as though lifting either of their weapons might be impossible.
With full intent to find someplace to set up camp, it only took them a few minutes to file out of the mage's library and into a large and empty hallway. It didn't go very far, as it wasn't very long, but it was very wide and definitely big enough to set up camp. Still, the faces at the end of the hall said otherwise. At the end of the path there were two doors, a stone face carved above each one. And the second the party had spotted them, the stony faces trembled, the graven eyes lighting with a sickly golden light.
"Oh no. There's no way we can camp here." Leiken lamented, Que echoing the disdain with a low whine.
And just like that, the chaos of voices filled the air.
Pleading, begging, threatening the four standing below them to just duck through the door below.
Solace lowered xir head, glancing to Euele. "What should we do?"
She heaved a sigh. "I suppose we could do what we've done the last few times and trust Que's nose." Her gaze flitted over to land on the golden hound, watching the canine as she whined and pawed at her ears. "The sooner the better so we can get out of this noise and find some rest."
Melt watched silently as Leiken nodded. "Find a way out, Que." They spoke while giving her the cue, the well-trained dog letting out one last whine before trotting towards the door, her nose sniffling and snuffling about. Leiken watched her for a long minute, eventually giving a short nod when the dog lingered in front of the door on the right and let out a bark. "That's the way then."
Solace nodded, and Euele sighed again. They were too tired to be worried as they shuffled through in single file.
You encounter a fork in the dungeon marked by two doorways. Above one, a face in the rock smiles. Above the other, a face frowns. Both begin to speak, and in their craggy voices try to convince you to go through the door beneath them.
