Eccentric
Daisy was a big fan of any animal that ate pests. Bats included. She’d once heard a tale that a single bat could eat thousands of bugs a night. All the better, she figured. Keep the gnats and flies away from her beautiful garden. As someone who made a living growing and selling carnivorous and bizarre plants from the dungeons, bat colonies were frequent visitors to her home-cavern. She believed, however, in respecting their space and giving them distance. Whenever she went out to collect seeds and supplies, and stumbled upon a roosting colony, it was habitual for Daisy to tip-toe carefully through the cavern or tunnel. Awful rude to wake her little helpers. Such was the case right now. She couldn’t help but pause to watch the squirming mass on the ceiling every few steps. It was a good thing she was alone, for any other courser might find Daisy rather bizarre. Especially if they knew that Dracula bats were her favorite. Dracula bats, after all, reminded Daisy of her beautiful carnivorous garden plant. Her morbid curiosity of the weird and wacky extended beyond plants and fungus. For just a moment she wondered what it must be like to only drink blood.
Your way forward looks clear at first glance, but a look at the cave ceiling reveals hundreds of bats inverted in slumber. They might be harmless Painted Bats, but they could also be blood-sucking Draculas. What do you do?
