Giovanni

Stumbling into the room ahead Giovanni pants as he is quick to look back and ensure everyone has made it out. Eyes scan over Dae and the others, safety, they made it all here okay. A small sigh of relief, no one is dead or left behind, they've managed somehow to make it out, a small mercy from all the misfortune this group seems to find themselves in. "Everyone okay?"

As he picks up his head, glancing around the first thing he notices is that lack of another door. "A dead end." he whispers, already feeling his heart drop, doesn't feel like they can travel back now. Had he lead them to another prison, a cage to let them starve and die. A quick glance to Seance he wonders how well she would handle it. Probably all smiles and delight.

Now that an easy escape is no longer his for the taking, he takes in the room for what it is, sees the floor with painted tiles, an odd mechanism there. He frowns all the more as it seems like this might be a little more advanced than he was hoping. Knew enough to get him out of danger, but somethings he will disdainfully admit, are just beyond him. This being one of them. He glances to the others hoping someone has a bright idea.

Daemon:

The bay shuffles along in the dark, pressing close to Giovanni as he walks ahead, finally stumbling into a room and away from the treacherous crumbling floors of the cavern. “Yeah, I’m good. You?” He asks, a hint of concern managing to edge its way into his voice as he speaks to the other.

Taking a moment to catch his breath, he looks around, noticing first the brazier holding a large flame that illuminates the room. Stepping closer, he uses it to relight his own lantern before actually taking in the room that seems to be a dead end. It’s rather inconspicuous on the surface, and it isn’t until he hears the unseen whirring of a mechanism somewhere after stepping on an engraved tile that he realizes there might be more to the room, even if it’s beyond him. He looks up as Bug and Seance make their way into the room as well, huffing softly. At least they’re all here and in one piece.

“Huh… this make any sense to anyone else?” He mutters in mild confusion, pressing his hoof to another tile as the whirring begins again. “Maybe it’s not entirely a dead end?” He muses, glancing to Giovanni first before looking to Bug and Seance.

Seance

Making into the room, she gulps in air, her heart racing, but she never seems to quite show her panic. Face merely wide eye and curious, she glances around and ensures that yes everyone made it. Making count, yes everyone made and pets included. It was a good trip so far, seems maybe the white one should take the lead more often. Seance is okay with following, she glances to Haunt, Haunt too.

Watching the bay, she tilts her head as she watches his hoof hit a tile and it seems the whirring begins. Patterns a code within the colored tile. She eyes Bug as it seems the other two might be a little unsure. "A code, perhaps a color code?" she asks the other.

Attention back to the other two. "Thinking that perhaps a special code with the tile ensure our way out." she responds stepping forward as Haunt blinks a bit looking over the tile as well. "Interesting." she remarks stepping on a tile, something whirring to life before dying back down.

Bug:

Bug is nowhere near as adept as Seance at hiding his fear. Long ears pin back against his skull as he steps into the room on shaky legs. Navigating so many pitfalls in the dark had been harrowing, and he was more than thankful to be back on what seemed to be stable ground. Taking a deep breath, he looks around, listening as the others speak.

His attention is drawn to the colorful engraved tiles on the floor as Seance mentions them, nodding slightly. Bending his head low to sniff one, Wart hops down, jumping from one tile to another with a soft, inquisitive croak.

“Yeah… maybe a pattern or somethin that opens a wall?” He suggests, looking around the room for additional clues. “Maybe we need to put pressure on all the colored ones?” He suggests, glancing at the scattered tiles, some bright and colorful and others simply engraved stone.

3rd Campaign, part 2! See part 1 Here

Your party advances further into the dungeon.
After an exhausting descent, your party reaches what seems to be a dead end. A seamless wall blocks your path, but walking across the engraved tiles before it produces the sound of an ancient unseen mechanism rumbling to life. Perhaps the artwork on the floor is the key...

Your party must make a Cunning check to activate the dungeon door.
