The pool, clear and calm, shimmered gently in the corner of the cavern.

That was, of course, until Lord Annaeus decided to throw caution to the wind and take a running leap at it. An enormous splash sent water cascading over the plants, little creatures skittering to cover.

Alder was drenched. "My lord," Alder said, water dripping from his muzzle.

"Alder, I feel like mushroom stew is in order tonight," Annaeus said, eyes shut as he floated in the little pool.

Alder said nothing, and began unpacking his baron's tent.
