[MEDIUM] Time's Up
With a low rumble did the long labouring machinery halt in its progress. The massive cogwheels which offered an ever shifting footing to the four adventurers suddenly refused to move another inch, challenging the group who used it as grounding. The rhythmic and almost deafening clinging died down and in place stepped an ominous silence, filling the chamber with uncertainty.
“ Wow, who … Drakes, did you step on something? Be honest man. “ - the self proclaimed leader of the party with a half serious question meant rather to be a bickering than blame turned his pale head and looked behind. Cass would never admit, but he wanted to make sure everyone was all right.
The massive stallion was used to his antics and offered only a sour look, nothing unlike his gaze when he wakes up and the sun is cheekily shining right into his eyes. Drakes meant not to provide any answer or explanation, for he did nothing, in fact, but carry the extra rations and what little equipment the group had in the back and looking out for the rest. Ratatoskr, as usual, chose not to engage with the childish play between the two and was rather searching the reason for the sudden change.
Caelum, on the other hand, could not let the pale stallion go unpunished and stepping forward became the protector of a knight. Not like Drakes really needed any protection, the man was taller and stronger than any of them, being able to move boulders and fend for the four on his own. But there was a guilty pleasure having Caelum stand up for him, so much so that he had to turn his head to cover his face which almost morphed into a smile.
“ Caspian, stop putting the blame on Drakes all the time. You need to be kind and appreciate your teammates. What sort of leader it makes you, always pulling the hair of others. “ - with widened nostrils and voidless gaze piercing right through even the thickest of gates, the short corpse blue male was finally satisfied having the opportunity to give a piece of his mind. In answer came a smirk from the leader. - ‘ You own me one, Drakes. ’ - he thought as he put on this act of innocence and remorse, having an easy time to fool Caelum and even make him apologise for his tone.
“ If you three stopped fooling around, mind shutting up? Something is coming. “ - The reason in the shape of the dark stallion called out for attention, ushering a silence and understanding.
