[DD1] Clay Pots should stay Clay Pots

This morning, Dog had awoken from a dream in which he lived a full other life. It made little sense, if he was honest. A herd of a familiar name, of familiar faces, but of a world he didn't know. That dream-world was a place far different what he was used to... There were no dungeons there. No creepy-crawlies. Just open air and a herd he'd called home. It felt like home. But... it couldn't be, right?

His home was here. In the dungeons.

At least, that was what he told himself every time he went into the depths, carefully picking his way through the foliage and greenery as he went deeper and deeper into the depths of the Overgrown Caverns. He still remembered his first times in here, with his brother. Slipping through the shadows together, hoofsteps in sync. He shook his head, trying to rid himself of the painful memory while urging himself onward, into the caverns.

He made way into a chamber, careful hooves taking him towards a shape... only to find it was clay pots. His eyes narrowed, a crease forming between them.

Damn. Clay pots... not what he wanted.

He begant to turn, only to pause as the pots began moving and whining, churning out complaints about the Wizard. They were starving, apparently. His eyes narrowed again, watching suspciously as the yammering lids snapped open and shut, pleading with him. Ah, he had nothing to give... except... he eyed the rat he'd kicked out of surprise (a totally normal response, mind you) when it had shot out under his hooves.

Perhaps they'd like this.

The courser moved towards the rat, keeping an eye on the pots as he carefully scooped it up, tossing it towards them with a flourish. He tried to wipe the grime off of his leg absentmindedly as he watched the pots fight over the rat corpse and finally finish it off.

Lovely.

Well. At least the pots weren't hungry... but now he was. A blast of warm air escaped his nostils as he snorted, stepping towards the pots. "Do I get anything now?" He wished he could take something home, something back for...

Another pang.

He had nobody at home to bring something back for anymore.

You enter a chamber in search of treasure, but find only a pile of clay pots. You’re about to turn away when they come alive, their lids yammering like mouths. They complain of the Wizard’s negligence, and that c’mon, they’re starving here. Do you give them an offering?
