[DD1] Bone Raiding
Prism was back at the "trap" room (as Tarnish had marked it on the map back at home), of course. There were a lot of bones in there! He and Tarnish had hardly made a dent, so he'd returned with a small draggable cart he could in theory stuff more of them into on his own.
The treasure, on it's perch, was once again ignored. A spinal column in his teeth, Prism hummed happily and dragged it over to the cart, stuffing it in, and skipping back over to the pit of bones to collect a rib cage. He could do this with his eyes closed - and they did, partially, wandering back to the cart on autopilot, dropping in the rib cage-
A noise of startle made him peel his eyes open, setting his eyes on a pale blue fellow wearing some sort of fur - Oh, Pendulum. The Gray Wings had had a few exchanges with him, and though he looked a bit displeased, it seemed rather out of character for him to be startled by the mere sight of some bones.
Prism looked a bit lower, and noticed a smaller figure leaned against Pendulum's side, a sea foam green creature with a pale face. A child, he supposed. Ah. Perhaps this was why Pendulum looked displeased with him?
"... Pendulum. Hello! Never mind me, I'm just collecting some... scraps here, did you need something-?"
Pendulum looked a bit like it wanted to gut Prism like a fish, and also a bit like Prism might've missed some part of why he was annoyed. Mysterious, truly.
"Prism. Move the cart aside." Pendulum said.
"Alllright I'll get right to that - who's that small friend there you have?" Prism pressed, then began to drag the cart to one side, out of the way of the path to the chest.
"Illusive." Pendulum said, as if the name on its own was enough explanation, and trotted past, the little green creature following. It paused, and stared at Prism, and the bones stuffed in the cart. It looked ahead to Pendulum, then back.
"That's my dad." It clarified.
"Ah. Never had one of those myself, which is a shame, they seem useful." Prism returned, before hoisting a skull into the cart too.
"Okay." Said Illusive, trotting up after Pendulum, and aiding him in retrieving the chest from it's perch.
Well. As long as they weren't competing.
"... Want me to haul the cart up? Can toss that in with the bones. Easier to move it."
Pendulum's head swung round, and glared down at him.
"Fine."
"You come upon a chamber with a crack in its ceiling. A mossy pedestal is illuminated by moonlight, a gorgeous chest resting on it for the taking. However, surrounding the pedestal is a gruesome sight: piles of bleached Courser bones. Do you heed the warning or attempt to take the treasure?"
Let someone else take the treasure, it's BONE TIME baby.
