Her steps are slow, each one placed cautiously upon the dirt path before her. There is a minute hesitation to each placement - the hoof tapping against the ground before lifting again only to rest and root itself into place. Her progress is slow in response. Efalin's packs are wrapped tightly to her body with extra strappings and cord. Ahead of her floats her small glowing wisp, Muse. It dances and sways in the air weightlessly, offering the dimmest of light in the darkness. Efalin looks straight to Muse, following the wisp with steadfast determination.

Efalin smiles warmly up to Muse as the wisp guides the Courser through the organic passages of the Overgrown Caverns. No matter how dark the world seemed sometimes, Muse alway seemed to penetrate that pitch. If there was an incline the wisp would raise up, if there was an obstacle to step over the sentient light would bounce. It was her eyes when she couldn't use her own, and for that Efalin would always be thankful.

When there was a presence, Muse would spin and draw shapes in the air, just as she did now. A large circle, or at least circular shape, and eratically chirped.

"Hello?" Efalin cooed into the stillness of the caverns. She heard her response but it wasn't a word. Rather, she could hear movement, an ooze, a glurp. Efalin stopped, her four hooves planted perfectly square, her ears forward. Efalin noticed Muse darting back and forth, indicating there was no way forward here. "Oh, I think you're in our way."

Something glurped and popped. Muse seemed unbothered, continuing to signal no passage forward.

"I don't mean to be a bother, but can you step aside?"

A pop. Muse stilled, bobbing back and forth until it moved forward. Efalin smiled.

"Thank you," she said, and her cautious but motivated march continued.
