[MEDIUM] Purple Glitter - Ti and Cal
We had all settled down for the night. We found a chamber that was full of soft, warm sand, and we'd set up camp for the night. Contrary to popular belief, there are some corners of safety to be found in the dungeons. All four of us had chatted and laughed as we ate a hot meal (it turns out that Baelfire is quite the cook on a campfire), and then we'd all settled down to sleep, me and Cal on one side of the fire and Kraken and Bae on the other.
I slept fitfully, fitfully enough for Cal to roll over and ask "Are you okay, Ti?"
I'd simply nodded and nestled closer, going back to sleep.
My dreams were weird. For some reason they were in muted colours, and I watched through my eyes with absolutely no control as I stood up, careful to not wake Cal, and started walking down a nearby corridor.
"Pfft. As if I'd go anywhere down here without my weapon," I thought. I'm not usually aware that I'm dreaming when I'm asleep. This was so odd.
"I" continued to walk down the corridor, taking step by careful step instead of my usual stride. I turned, and I recognised this passage from earlier. It was the long corridor that led to the sarcophagus room, the one with the pretty liquid. Sure enough, I made it to the end of the corridor and there it was. While the rest of my dream was in muted colours, the liquid was vibrant and sparkling, standing out even more than it did in real life. I started to get a bad feeling.
"Wake up" I thought to myself.
My body continued to walk closer and closer to the sarcophagus, and when it was close enough, my head tilted down as though I was going to dunk my head straight into the liquid.
"WAKE UP" I desperately screamed inside my own head, unsure anymore whether this was a dream or not, but certain that I didn't want to touch that liquid in either case.
-Cal-
I woke up in a panic, though I was unsure why. I soon realised though - Tiber's space next to me was empty. I reached over and felt around. It was still warm, so he'd been here just a minute ago. My nose brushed against his sword, and a cold chill gripped me. Ti never went anywhere without his sword.
I stood abruptly, and considered waking the other two but worried that it would take too long. I could clearly see Ti's hoofprints, first by the indents in the sand, and then once i reached the corridor, by a thin layer of.. something, that must have been on his hooves. It glittered slightly, and I got a horrible feeling. Hadnt Ti been entranced by that glittery purple liquid earlier? I had thought that he'd beaten it, but maybe it had just lain in wait. I galloped down the corridors, trying my hardest to remember the way we'd come, not wanting to slow down to track Ti's hooforints, and sliding to a stop as I reached the chamber with the sarcophagus.
Ti was standing over the sarcophagus, his muzzle a few inches away from the liquid but getting closer even as I watched. I had no time to think, no time to plan. I launched myself forwards and slammed into Ti, becoming a tangle of limbs on the floor. He immediately fought to get back to the liquid, and more worryingly, the liquid reached out from the sarcophagus to get back to Ti. And I was right between them. Terror filled me as Ti's teeth met my neck, and the purple liquid reached a few inches infront of my face. What could I do to stop this?
