Moritz trotted in front, the line attached to Splatterpunk's harness tied around their middle section. Occassionally they checked to see if Splatter was able to keep up - but it was a needless fret. If anything, the young courser's boundless energy could have outpaced them easily, if not for the anchor.

Moritz recognized a turn in the cavern path, and sped up their step - leading the bright eye'd foal through the twists and turns, until they spilled out into a wider side cavern. Liquid bubbled down, gathering in a pool in the middle of the 'room'.

"Come and see." Moritz said simply, standing near the pool and gesturing their head and hoof both. Splatterpunk sprang over - halted briefly by Moritz, who released them from the harness with a 'stay in this room, and it goes back when we leave' in their ear.

Once released, instead of examining the pool. Splatter bounded about their parent in lively little circles, kicking their heels. Moritz beamed down at them, nuzzling the top of their head - and then indicating the pool once again. The floating eyeball wandered almost lazily into the cavern with them, but did not flit over to Moritz to indicate a threat ahead as it often did - Mina simply settled into a patch of soft moss, to rest itself.

Momentary distraction of the eyeball waved off, Splatterpunk leaned down, sipping from the pool - only to have their muzzle tickled by swimming, iridescent isopods curiously probing the soft snout.

"ACK-" They startled, starting to jerk back - and Mortiz pressed their head into the top of Splatter's, grooming there, soothing them to a stillness.

"They're alright. Just quiet. Like you and me." Came the murmur.

"...Like you and me." Splatter echoed back, ears perking forward again, and leaned down to watch the little swarms of isopods.
