[DD1] sunshine don't hold up to dark

At the heart of the ancient forest, tired with time and dusty with discarded dreams, stood a massive oak. The sunlight barely made it through its canopy, and generations of small creatures called its boughs their home. A few small raindrops slid through the maze of leaves the day the oak opened its great maw and spoke.

Unfortunately for everyone now wondering what it said, Chasvla was not there to hear the oak's possibly wise, potentially earth-saving-or-shifting words, as they were already in the caverns, deep underground. Even if they weren't they had never been to the heart of that forest as trees tended to make them feel a little self conscious, just a little too small and alone in the world. And, after all, surely an ancient, massive, glorious oak wouldn't be talking to them? Chasvla was just a sunset in puck form, and really rather unimportant as they weren't especially important to anyone else. But they were mostly happy, and they had so many friends!

They just really wanted to be... in love?

Their feathered steps were slick and fast, the moss hesitant to cling to something that was go just a little too quick. Surely they would find someone new here, someone happy, and lovely, and oh-so-fun. Someone who would enjoy their company as more than just friends! Maybe it wouldn't be another Courser - they'd heard that many ancient beings lived in the caverns, and it was possible that they would find some kind of someone here.

Maybe the oak was speaking because it was secretly in love with them, and no one would ever, ever know, no one but the squirrels and chipmunks and fishers and robins and hummingbirds and orioles and. Well, there were many, but none who would tell them.

It was not the most important, however, as Chasvla had found a room they'd never seen before! A room full of fungi, brightly lit, glowing with an inner charm that they hoped they could someday emit. What if they... ate the mushrooms? Would they then glow like a summer night, hot as a shooting star? They'd never really felt a need to consume anything they found in the dungeon, but if it meant they'd be a little bit special - oh! When they went to touch bite it, it made a noise as it almost mindfully avoided their teeth. It wasn't so surprising that they'd missed - the taste was rather hesitant, still not entirely certain it was what they wanted - but the noise. The noise! It was soft, it was fluting, it was impossible to imagine that it could come from anything like this at all. It was... nice.

Eagerly, they went to the other colored not-plants, brushing against them and listening to the melodic complaints. Were they screaming at them? Chasvla doubted it, but it wasn't an impossibility, just one that they didn't want to think about. They went around, poking and prodding, just to see what sounds they ended up enjoying. There was no rhyme nor reason truly, just feelings that were often felt wrong.

But there was suddenly another sound, something less like music and more like the great scraping of stone, and a door was revealed. Perhaps Chasvla would be special through there, deeper and deeper and further from the forest.

DD1. You enter a cavern lined with glowing fungi. Each one you touch emits a different pitch. If you play them in a certain order, a stone rolls away from the wall, revealing the way forward. How do you figure out the puzzle? What music will you make?
