[DD1] a mysterious tomb
Sydney trotted in a half circle around the mounted Courser skull, examining the display with a furrowed brow. It was beautiful, to be sure, the jewels on the bridle glittering in the light from Sydney’s lantern. But something about it struck him as strange, or off somehow. Perhaps it was the strange metal thing that inexplicably sat in the skull’s mouth. He tilted his head to one side, wondering what such a thing could possibly be for.
The whole display, though, was mysterious in and of itself. Who was this Courser? And why were they interred so lavishly? Who buried them?
It was all very odd, and it made Sydney uneasy. He wanted little more to do with whatever was going on here. He began to trot away, towards the next chamber.
But that metal bar in the skull haunted him a little as he continued through the dungeon.
prompt: An ancient Courser skull has been mounted on the walls of the Caverns and adorned with jewels. The whole scene seems to venerate whoever this once was. It wears a beautiful bridle, but something strange is in its mouth– an uncomfortable-looking metal apparatus that sits behind its incisors, attached to the petrified leather. What do you suppose this was for?
