[DD3] In another time
He had never been here before, and it was amazing, although a little intimidating. He was glad he had brought a mercenary that's for sure. Not even His moth friend could really save him here if he got lost or if something happened.
"Have you been here often?" Silas asked the Mercenary he tasked to come with him to the Moor of sleep. Terrence seemed a little occupied with his surroundings, answering a little later than usual after he was done surveying his surroundings. "I suppose... Can't remember how many times though" He answered, his tail sweeping behind him.
They didn't talk much, but every once in a while Silas just felt a need to break the silence, even if things fell quiet again after. Like now. Terrence trotted ahead, up onto a small hill that looked out over a small field. Silas sighed softly. He felt a little lost when his companions didn't talk much, hence why he felt the need to break the silence every now and then. He looked up to his Moth friend with a slight pout. All it did was flutter. " I know. " He just simply murmured as if the moth had actually told him something along the lines of 'It's necessary for safety for him to stop talking and trot away'.
As terrence scanned the area, Silas took the moment to just take in his surroundings. It all looked so ancient. In the corner of his eye he could see the Giant moth glide off to somewhere. Curious Silas followed it. He came to a halt in front of a shallow pool of water. The moth fluttered above it for a while and then simply flew off elsewhere. But Silas didn't follow. He felt entrance by the water as images of an ancient era long gone flashed by in the reflection of the pool.
Interested in seeing more he leaned forwards more. It almost looked like he was there right in the midst of the chaos. Just as a spear came into his direction Terrence called out to him
" I know which way to go next, lets go" He had called. Silas looked up in surprise "Alright!" He called back. He glanced back at the pool but the images of him here had gone away. That was odd. Maybe Terrence knew more about it. Well at least he had a topic for the next time they fell silent.
He let out a soft whinny, calling for his moth and then left to go after Terrance.
"A shallow pond sprawls out like a mirror in front of you. When you approach, the reflection shows flying banners, marching polearms and tents – not the silent battlefield you stand in. Do you dare look at your own reflection amidst the thrum of war?"
