Phoebe lead the pair, Gasket trotting close behind her. The weld courser kept a watchful eye on the madder that followed, not wanting to risk another incident. Gasket almost slipping into the lava had been enough excitement for her.

"Do you smell that?" With his nose raised, Gasket drew in a deep breath. "It smells like.. sulfur?" He'd muse, head dropping as his gaze would focus ahead on Phoebe, who met his gaze. It did smell like sulfur, the madder was right. Phoebe would nod, turning her gaze back to the path.

"You're right.. but we must keep pace." Her thoughts spilled out of her, much before she could stop herself. "There may be some sort of ritual going on.. something sinister." She'd continue, much to Gasket's dismay as he'd try to keep pace with the quick and nimble weld.

"A.. ritual?" He'd inquire, tilting his head. He would make pace, moving up aside the smaller weld, gazing at her as they trotted side by side. "Wouldn't that.. be bad?" Thoughts raced through the madder's mind, why was Phoebe continuing towards it? Why weren't they turning around? A ritual? What kind of ritual?

His thoughts were cut short as Phoebe stopped, his gaze flickering to the circle on the floor. Sulfur and copper washed over his nostrils, much stronger than before. This didn't look good, but he felt it oddly familiar. The scent, the scene..

"We haven't figured out whose leaving these around.. but it isn't pretty."
Phoebe would speak, head turning to gaze at Gasket, who stood staring at the symbols on the floor.

"I.. I think I've been here before."
