A drop of water slid down from an overhanging vine, falling onto the nose of a traveling Courser below.

Seraphim snorted in disgust, continuing to trot along the mossy floor of the dungeon's first level. "This place is dreadful." She muttered aloud to herself, looking around the damp cavern with a critical eye.

Seraphim much preferred lava and burning coals of the second level--she was sure she'd find valuable materials to forge weapons and armor out of, but other adventurers believed her to not be 'prepared enough' or in need of an escort. Those disrespectful youth... pour years of your life sweating over a hot iron and yet they believe they're more capable than you.

The pale Courser froze as she stepped into a sunken spot of wet soil, grimacing as her stuck hoof sank deeper into it. Ugh--reeling back once, she managed to free her hoof, but there was something else on it... A sticky appendage!

The armorer gritted her teeth with disgust, contintuing to pull back to free her hoof but to no avail. Whatever it was refused to release her! Not only that... but five other limbs--or tentacles, she assumed--emerged from the soil, wrapping around her legs. They began to pull, tugging her with the intent of pulling her down. Ack!

"Release me, beast!" She snarled, craning her neck towards her back, pulling a knife from its sheath. A weapon she had crafted herself, Seraphim made sure it was sharp enough to slice through any unruly creature... such as this one!

She swung her head, slicing through the first tentacle that had grabbed her, green blood splurting from the wound and onto her white coat. The creature squealed in pain, promptly realising Seraphim from its grasp and retreating back into the soil it had came from.

Seraphim picked up her right leg... and then her left... just to ensure she had regained control of her own body. Hmph, she sighed to herself, she could not wait to leave this forsaken level.
