It was a beautiful morning to be helpful! However, no one was currently around, and it is difficult to help people when there is no one to help. True, they could possibly weed someone's garden, or clean a yard, or other such things, but Firetruck would hate to impose and do something that was meant to be helpful but ended up being wrong. Better to wait and be told that someone needed help, anyways. So, instead of helping on the surface, the red decided it was best to go into the caverns and see if they could be helpful in any way.

It was dark and cool inside, with a familiarity they'd began to find comforting. As they went deeper, though, the sounds became a little more distorted, falling into an abstraction that almost, almost, almost... yes, circled into reality. Voices, voices whispering, voices pleading, softly - pleading for help, for support, for guidance. Of course they were looking for help - after all, Firetruck was here, and that was his purpose. Of course he would follow them, wherever they led. He couldn't leave them to be alone.
