“WHO ARE YOU” boomed from the giant, smoking toad that sat atop the mossy boulder before Terryn and Mothman. The Toad’s horizontal eyes bore into the very soul of the black tobiano stallion as he took a step back, unsure of this intelligent animal. Mirroring his unease, Mothman flew behind Terryn’s head and peered around at the toad.

“My name is Terryn, sir. I am a Dungeon Courser from the lands above.” The black tobiano stallion bowed in front of the toad, bringing a leg back and extending the other. Mimicking his behaviour, Mothman landed beside his owner and bowed to the toad.

Smoke emanated from the giant toad’s back as he puffed his pipe, he looked down at the duo and nodded, “What brings you to my cavern?”

Standing up, Terryn spoke carefully, “My friend, Mothman, and I were here exploring. We come to these caverns multiple times a week just to see what we can find.”

Mothman panicked and nudged the stallion, worried that that answer would upset the toad. However, to his surprise the toad simply nodded in agreement and continued to smoke his pipe. 

“Continue on, travelers. Remember to leave with whatever you came in with.” The toad croaked before settling himself into a more comfortable position on the boulder.

Terryn nodded and bowed once again, “Thank you, sir. We will.”
