[DD1] Flower
After the latest... incident, and a not-so-small argument with Hazel, Orang finds himself stomping through the dungeon, his frustration echoing in every heavy step.
“I’ll show her I’m more than capable,” he grumbles, eyes narrowed. “I’ll get some magic flower or scale from a beast—she likes that stuff. And I’ll be the one to bring it to her.” His words barely leave his mouth before he stumbles, one hoof stuck fast in the ground. He scowls, yanking at his hoof in frustration, his curls bouncing wildly with the movement.
“"This is absurd! I should be out here triumphing, not... stuck!" He gives a tug, but his hoof remained wedged. Bread barked eagerly beside him, clearly thinking this was all part of some silly game. "Yes, yes, Bread. I know." Orang mutters, his pride wounded more by his predicament than his sore leg. He glances around, hoping that no one will witness him in such an undignified state for a so-called adventurer.
Orang gritted his teeth and tugged again, his frustration mounting. "I can't believe this," he muttered through clenched teeth. With one final heave, his hoof finally came loose, but his momentum sent him stumbling forward.
He flailed in the air for a moment before crashing onto the ground, his mane splaying out around him. Dazed, he blinked up at the dim light filtering through the dungeon's cracks. And then, just as his irritation began to bubble over, his eyes landed on something extraordinary.
Nestled in a small, hidden nook in the rock was a flower glowing with a soft, ethereal light. Its petals shimmered with a hue that seemed almost magical, casting a gentle, warm glow. Orang's eyes widened, and his frustration gave way to a grin.
Orang's eyes widened with delight. “Well, well! Look at this! A rare treasure, just as I intended.” He reached out with a mix of excitement and pride, carefully plucking the glowing flower from its resting place. It was even more beautiful up close, with its subtle hues shifting as if alive.
He held the flower up, admiring it with a satisfied grin. “This will certainly impress Hazel. She’ll have to acknowledge my skills as a real dungeoneer now!” He says muffled with the flower clutched securely in his mouth. Orang turns to leave, his steps lighter and his pride restored for the meantime.
