Piercing shrieks and howls rung out over the sounds of the furnace, Meatgrinder's ears shot up as she stood frozen in place. Crispin was close behind her, seeming panicked by the event that was about to occur. "Hey, we should run while we still have the chance to, we can outrun them and-"

He was cut off by the mare sneering, shaking her head. What? They were only two, they couldn't fight a whole pack of hellhounds.. they didn't stand a chance.

"Fight."
The mare's voice rasped out, bracing for impact as the pack rounded the corner.

"Fight!"
She'd snap out with urgency, throwing herself against the first hound that bounded towards her.


Crispin snapped out of his trance, gritting his teeth as he threw himself into the fight. Keeping an eye on the chestnut mare as they attempted to hold their own against the pack.

Meatgrinder's teeth made contact with the hounds neck as it went to snap for hers, taking a split second to consider her options.. before she'd throw herself up, rearing as she'd step backwards. A quick twist of her body and a throw of her head would reward her ears with a sickening crack as the hellhound's paws clutched to her neck, it's own twisted and broken, blood seeping out from between her teeth.

A kind, quick death, she thought.
They deserved that much.
