Mitigation looked up at the other courser on a small cliff face in the caverns, with a large silken cocoon on his back and large jugs strapped to their sides. The courser obviously didn't notice Mit, seeing as they were looking directly in front of them, searching for another platform at their height, even if the drop to the lower section of the cavern wasn't that far.

Mit tilted their head slightly, unable to pinpoint why the other courser seemed so familiar... until they gave out a huff and stomped their hoof in aggravation. The sight of his face and the tone in his annoyance had been burned into Mitigation's memory at this point, considering they were part of the same guild.

"Vex! Down here!" Mit called, waving a hoof in the air to get his attention. Vex looked down, spotting the other with their own collection of treasures on their back. "You lost, big guy?"

Another huff, Vexation turning his head away with a scowl. "I am not lost. I simply... got put off of my expected path is all." A small pause was shared between the two, somehow louder than the ambient noise of the caverns. "So, you're lost?" Mitigation nodded with a smirk.

"Shut up."

That hiss of a statement didn't mean that he wasn't going to join Mitigation on the lower portion of the caverns, of course. Vexation shuffled his way down the small cliff carefully in order to join with his guild member, being methodical enough to properly land without much disruption to his haul. "Seeing your smugness, I imagine you know a way out of here?"

The larger courser's glare did nothing to deter Mitigation from continuing to smile and enjoy the small sense of power they felt having Vex rely on them for something.

"Yes, actually. But I'll only take you to the exit if you say 'Thank you, Mitigation.' once we're back at the guild house."

Vex's voice darkened, and his lip curled. "Don't push your luck."

That was enough to get Mitigation to fold, their smile falling and a nervous laugh breaking out from their throat before they began to walk, leading the way. "Haha, yeah no, of course! Let's just get out of here, shall we?"

Vexation was silent the entire walk back to the cavern entrance. Honestly, Mitigation preferred it that way after being sent shaking in his hooves just from one sentence.
