[DD1] Home is Where the Guild is

Mit used to live further away on the surface, in a town bustling with life, coursers and crops aplenty. Alas, they couldn't exactly go back there after disappearing for so long. They hadn't left with good reason, or even told anyone where they were going. They knew that if anyone knew, then someone would try to stop them.

So they lived closer to the dungeon, residing in a small outpost that allowed them to return to the dungeons as soon as the sun rose. They imagined it would be quite lonely if not for the other dungeoneers that resided in the same small area. There were more than you would expect, truly. It seemed that every day, more and more coursers had a treasure they wished to find, and sought it out in droves.

Mitigation found himself living in the outpost with a few other coursers. A hot-headed younger courser by the name of Madness, and an older, more serious courser by the name of Vexation. Madness had been quick to encourage the two others to create a guild, and though Mit was a bit unsure, they complied anyhow.

Eventually, home stopped being about where to lay their head at night, and more about being able to see Vex and Madness.

As sappy as it sounded, Mit was finding a group of friends that reminded them of the ones they had lost once they followed the call of the dungeon. Maybe that was a sign they were on the right path to finding out their purpose.

They could certainly hope that was the case.

What is ‘home’ to you? Where do you go when the adventure is done, and who is there with you? Are you a surface-dweller, or have you adapted completely to the dungeons?
