[DD1] [DC] Into The Cistern
With his hoof in the air, Terryn watched as water dropped back to the water below. The drip-drip-drip bounced off the walls around him, making the sound louder than it would be outside of the dungeon. Lowering his hoof back into the water, Terryn made his way through the many archways before him, admiring the dancing imagery of coursers on the limestone walls.
He had heard of there being an ancient cistern within the area, though he was surprised that it had just been underneath his hooves this entire time. As Terryn continued, he thought of how intricately built the cistern was for just being a water storage room. It was an idea that he, himself, would have never thought of. Why not just gather water from the river? Seemed much easier to him.
The echo of water splashing as he walked had now come to comfort him. He wasn’t entirely sure what else he would find within the water, but he was impressed by the clarity of it. As he walked, he noticed that he could see his hooves through the water and even the bases of the archways as he passed. Regardless of what he would find, Terryn was elated that he had found the cistern he had heard many stories of on his travels.
