"I didnt need your help, you know" Huffed the purple mustang as he strode a few paces ahead of Warren, as if he was purposefully trying to lose his new tail.

"You were dangling from a rope over a pit of death. I saved your life" Warren corrected, squinting his eyes as he stared at the back of the stranger's head.

The purple horse huffed again, but stopped to turn and look at him with a glare. "I-I'm certain I would have found my own way out eventually!"

Warren quirked a brow at him. The stranger seemed to deflate a bit, sighing as he looked away with a flush and muttered "but.. Thank you, I suppose. Your help was.. very convenient. I'm Magnus."

Warren smirked as he said, "Warren. And you're welcome."

Magnus seemed to compose himself, nodding as he assessed his new companion. "It might be beneficial to stick together awhile. At least until we get out of this damned cave."

Warren considered the offer. Normally, he preferred to work alone. It was best that way, with nobody else to slow him down or get him into stupid situations. But looking at this horse, he felt like he could see right through his act. Warren could spot a fresh face to the dungeon a mile away. As confident and indifferent as Magnus may have seemed, he was rattled by the near-death experience. And he seemed unprepared to handle the journey alone.

Warren cursed himself for being soft hearted, though it seems he had no choice. "Might as well." He shrugged, and watched as Magnus' shoulders sagged in relief.

Warren motioned to the path before them. "Lead the way, partner."
