[DD1] mouth full of gum

Copcar was always prepared. And, if he wasn't, it wasn't meant to be, anyhow. If he didn't have what he needed in the moment, then it wasn't anything he actually needed.

Like, for instance, now. Copcar usually brought in some vegetables or leftovers when he went into the caves, but he'd heard that Firetruck had already gone in ("heard" because he saw it with his own eyes, and his eyes told his ears which told his brain) today, so he'd left his house entirely too fast. Or, rather, at just the correctly speed - stately, handsomely, to much applause. Wee-woo was excited to leave, to stretch her wings before they traversed into the deeps. Today, Copcar was trying to go so fast that he neither ate nor brought anything to eat.

And he was hungry. Wee-woo wasn't - she would hunt the fish that slid through the hidden and hiding creeks, splashing with enough abandon that he couldn't possibly also find a fish. Not that he'd eat fish, even if desperate. He (hadn't) tried that once, and (hadn't) gotten sick to his very stomach because he worried that it would make him sick. Occasionally he'd try a bite of the moving mushrooms, but they sometimes made his tongue feel funny and he really didn't love that.

So he usually just didn't eat until he got home, no matter how hungry he was then.

DD1. In the caverns, the growling of stomachs makes an echo. What do you do when you (and/or your party) get hungry?
