Ah. Shit. This probably is not the time to swoon over your looks. Chant’s ears turned backwards as the bright orange liquid continued to seep into the room. This was…rather not so good. He could feel his heart begin to race, chest heaving as he looked around frantically for a way out. It was foolish of him to pick up that relic off the stand in the middle of the room. It was the most obvious trap, and yet, he did it. Okay…well he didn’t mean to. He ended up hitting his flank against the stand, which in turn knocked the relic off, and by the time he placed it back onto the pressure plate the lava had already melted away whatever barrier held it originally.

He backed up away from the lava creeping up in front of him, only to panic when he felt the tip of his tail get singed from more magma behind him. “I have overstayed my welcome it seems!” Chant screamed. He quickly darted forward and jumped past the pool in front of him, having noticed a ledge higher than the rest of the flooring. There was a crack in the wall…it looked weak enough to kick down. And so, without wasting time he swiftly turned his rear to the wall and kicked as hard as he could with his hind legs. Once more, twice more, and bam! The old bricks fell over, allowing him to leave the room as the lava worked on swallowing everything left over in the room…including the relic.

That was…a close one. “Hopefully that does not spread to the rest of the caverns…” Chant sighed with a nervous grin.
