Between a Rock and... another Rock

Falin was getting used to going on dives. She was prepared, confident and almost cocky- but only almost.
Somehow every time her ego perked too high, the dungeon always had a way of checking her back into reality.

This was one of those times.

Falin had been travelling with Terrence again. They were getting on well, now quite used to their own way of doing things. Falin would carry the packs, lead the way, and the self sure dark courser would follow behind. They would go until their bags were full of loot, and their legs were weary, and then turn back and reach for the surface and safety.

They had been on their way back to the surface when Falin had glimpsed a pool of water. Thirsty, her own bags almost empty of it, she strayed to the side off of their usual track.
Then there had been a crack, a crumble, and she felt the world give out from under her.

The ground had sagged, sand, not soil. The grass could not keep her.
Falin shrieked out as she slipped, sliding down the side of the embankment until she landed heavily in a pile of her own bags below. Luckily her fall was not too hard, she had landed on mostly marsh, but the moment she tried to get up she noticed her left front hoof was terribly stuck.
It had lodged itself in the crevice of an oddly shaped rock, held there like in the jaws of an animal. She kicked at it in anger with her other hoof, but no use.

“Terrence, I’m stuck!” She barked, shaking her head as she tried to rear out of her position. Nothing was budging, and she already felt the cold sweat of panic as she was held in place.
There was a clatter of rocks and she snapped her head to the side, but it was just Terrence, awkwardly sliding down to her.
“Are you okay?” he asked, voice laced with some degree of concern. Tumbles were dangerous for a courser, especially when legs got stuck.
“Fine, but my hoof is stuck in this blasted rock.” she snarled back, unable to hide her concern from her voice, “I can’t wiggle it, nothing.”
“I can break it” Terrence said, tapping the rock gently, “I just need good aim for it.”

Falin cringed as he turned, aiming a back hoof and then punching out. It was a mighty kick followed by an even mightier CRACK!
And then she was free.

Later, she made Terrence promise not to mention this to anyone, with the warning of severe bodily harm if the promise was not held.

Prompt:
"There is no shortage of crevices in the dungeon to catch your hoof. You find yourself wedged in the rock! What do you do?"
