"Black? How much longer down this way? It's wet and sticky.”  The young Courser shudders. “Gross.” Ash continues as they walk further down the dripping, slime covered floor ahead of their older mentor.

“Shouldn’t be too much further Kid, I don't like the slime either. …Impossible to get out of one’s mane and hair.”   This heavy humid haze is certainly not helping MiB thinks to himself; hoping neither He nor his young apprentice forging forward lose their footing. Just as He’s thinking this fifteen feet ahead; by the sound of their voice; Ash suddenly slips off down a slope. “Shit!” MiB as soon as he realizes what is happening yells to Ash “Try to slow yourself! Find a divot or stalagmite to hit!” as He himself rushes to find a stalagmite or stalactite loose enough to help stop ash or him. The old Courser finds one and with his hind legs kicks one off, picks it up best he can and hurries and leaps down the slime smothered passage after Ash.

Meanwhile MiB is grabbing a stone spike. Ash is rapidly slipping and speed stumbling down the dungeon at mach speed. They barely hear their Mentor’s last words as they rapidly whip their head around looking for a way to stop as there’s no way to know how long this passage is. As far as Ash can tell it goes on forever. The path seems to narrow a bit down the way. They see a stalagmite ahead as well but unfortunately it doesn't look big enough or strong enough to stop if they hit it. “Please! Be a divot somewhere I can slide into! I have passed way too many frogs, vines and other things!” 

Ash closes their eyes for a few seconds to relieve their anxiety then the next second slams into the ground after falling off a small overhang. “Ow! That's going to bruise for sure.” Ash just lays slumped on the ground hoping to themselves that the pain doesn't grow much more from the sudden halt. Gliding their head over in another direction they noticed this area of the dungeon is starting to clear up from the haze. 

From the opposite of where the young courser is examining; they hear their mentor coming down the way. They yell best they can: “there's an overhang! Try not to over over too or if you do jump! I don't want to be squished! ….i'm also in a little pain.” 

MiB slides fast down the passage; his speed being increased by the leap down. The old Courser travels for a good few minutes til He hears his mentee and calls back “Right! I'll try to slow down with this stalagmite! ….. And try not to crush you!” Mib prepares to slam the spike of the stalagmite into the ground. As it goes into the slime and much it eventually after some wear hooks into the ground allowing the Stallion to halt before the edge of the overhang. Thankfully meaning he won't crush his young apprentice. He gathered himself before looking over the edge. “You ok kid? Are you stuck? Can you get back up? I'll try to make my way down to you, hold on.”

“Im ok i think; i definitely hurt a bit and could use a hoof getting back up.” Ash responds sounding quite exhausted, unamused and wincing. “I think I saw some rocks headed down to your right, Sir.” continues before blowing a raspberry. He thinks to himself i really need to be more careful. He watches unmoving; Their teacher, an older big black and white stallion covered in scars. The scars have healed quite a bit since they and Man in Black met during their foal days. The weeks back then sucked… mom went missing and my father abandoned me in a cavern pocket. I nearly starved so many times. Hiding in the dark only to leave for food. Even then way too scared to go very far. I thought I was going to die before MiB found me. Thinks Ash lost in his own mind.

Mib interrupted the colt's thoughts. “Come on Kid; I'm supposed to be the melancholic one, not you. Let's get you up.” Mib and Ash begin to work together to get Ash back on his hooves. In a matter of a few minutes it's successful. “Let's go if you're good.” Mib starts to move on and Ash after a few seconds follows after….. Off to further adventures.
