“Fucking hell.” Atlas cursed, his ghostly arms bursting out of his chest. 

The courser giggled manically, the sounds of it’s bones cracking and creaking as it moved around the room, “Oh lookie here - a magical courser! This will be fun!” 

It rushed head first into the group, an decomposed eyeball swinging about as it did so. Cassius and Sasha formed a quick barrier with their bodies, protecting the youngers, whilst Atlas’ arms extended towards the grotesque courser, wrapping around it’s bony neck. 

The courser’s face was up close and personal now, allowing the group to see it’s true form. It was half smiling half snarling with large canines protruding from it’s skeleton form. The skin on it’s body was torn and peeling off all the way down to the bone, it’s flesh black and rotten. 

Suddenly Lopey appeared in front of the creature, smiling back. Lopey was a cute thing.. until it wasn’t. Blood poured from Lopey’s eyes down onto their fluffy cheeks, the blood turning into flames, “Lopey wants to play!” 

The burning orange flames burst onto the half dead courser, scorching what remained of it’s body. Small droplets of a lava like substance attached to it’s face, making it scream out in pain. It curled into itself, screeching like a banshee whilst the audience of black shadows cheered. 

After a few seconds it collapsed on the gritty floor, it’s body fading to ash. 

Atlas’ arms retracted back into his body, his goose quivering behind his neck, “Yeah I bet you wish you didn’t beg me to bring you huh.” 

“What the hell was that thing?” Sasha exclaimed, checking everyone was okay.

“I don’t know but let’s just get out of here.” Cassius breathily said, stepping over the pile of ash towards the next room. The rest followed.

Just before they left the nightmare filled room, a loud scream was heard, followed by crying. 

Atlas sighed, “Do we ever get a break.” 

Cassius shushed the child and listened for the noise. It was coming from a side passage in the room. He quietly ventured across the auditorium towards a piece of broken wall. What was he about to find?
