The clipping of 2 sets of hooves echoed throughout the depths, as Phoebe and L'or made their way through dreich hallway upon hallway. "What do you think the weather's like up there?" L'or quizzed the exhausted Phoebe, who had now put up with the Puck's ungovernable thoughts that were asked out loud, instead of in his own head.

"I do not know, but I do know that we must continue forth with our feat." The Courser turned her head to the other, trying to maintain her sanity as she watched L'or thoroughly inspect the cave ceiling above them, almost as if he could see right through it.

"Yes! You're right. But where do we go now?" The two stood, staring down the hallway that split into three, equally uninviting forked off paths. The left path looked dark - very dark - with an almost green glow that stretched out from the shadows. The middle path looked so unsanitary it would make your skin crawl, with mud and puddles stretched out along the path. The right path appeared to be impeccably clean, and almost as if a dungeon maid of sorts had been down just recently to sweep up the ground and lit the flame torches that mounted the sides of the walls.

Phoebe looked at the Puck, a sense of dread in her stomach. "I'll let you decide this time."

With an ever so excited nod, or rather, a violent vertical shaking of his head, L'or bound his way down the middle path, his glimmering gold hooves skimming over the damp rocks that littered the floor, knocking and bumping into the overgrown weeds that split impressive cracks in the cave walls. Now, understanding that sense of impending dread, Phoebe chased the unruly Puck down the path, being sure to watch her footing, and avoid the plant victims of his wake.

Suddenly, the golden Puck vanished out of sight. Phoebe slid as she came to a halt, water splashing from the puddles beneath on her ochre hooves. Staring down a wall of darkness, she didn't move. Simply awaited a response.

"Pheebs? I'm okay! Come find me!" That ever so irritating voice echoed in Phoebe's ears. Keeping her cool, she cautiously ventured into the darkness, only to find a suspiciously Puck-shaped hole in a weak and decayed wooden wall, and a steep drop into what appeared to be a forsaken hall.

Her eyes scanned the dilapidated stretch of building, only to land on the golden L'or and a new face.

"Look, Pheebs, look! Look who I found!" A groan escaped Varin's mouth, already rolling her eyes at the Puck. "Look, I already told you, I'm stuck in here. I don't know how I got in here, I don't know how to get out - and now I'm stuck with you." L'or gasped, looking at Varin with pleading eyes. "Gosh! You're a fan of me? I know they said I could light up a room but, I didn't think I actually could..." An almost pinkish hue flushed his shaggy golden cheeks.

"Enough." Phoebe had, by now, made her way down to join the two squabblers. With an angry-parent-like stance, she gave the two a disappointed look, before turning her back to examine for ways out of the hall. "Look for handles, maybe doors, perhaps something that could be a lever..." The Courser mumbled to herself, doing exactly that. Varin gave L'or a disapproving glance and proceeded to help Phoebe search on the other side of the hall.

Feeling unappreciated, L'or trailed off to the highest end of the hall, where an extravagant - albeit old - design stretched up the wall to the highest point, almost reaching the ceiling. It was a depiction of what appeared to be an overworld kingdom, littered with strange creatures that sported some heavy looking armour, accompanied by some that appeared to be Coursers.

At the bottom of the design, a beautiful big treasure chest that was spilling with gold and riches, and in the very centre, a beautiful sparkling crown. Just at eye-level, there was what appeared to be a handle, sticking right out from the centre of the crown...

With an almighty creak, the massive motif appeared to move away from L'or - who by now was startled, legs splayed out much like a water-gliding insect.

Varin and Phoebe turned their heads in awe, watching as the beautiful depiction opened into a brand new stretching hallway.

"You did it, you haflwit!" Varin bounded over to L'or with a leap, placing a kiss on his cheek-bone. "I cannot believe you did it! We are out of here." She gazed upon the hallway, a big happy smile lighting up her face. L'or winked, looking at her with a sense of accomplishment. "You doubted me?"

The two walked out of the hall, the Puck continuing to let out his wild thoughts as Varin simply groaned or sighed in response to each. Phoebe surely followed behind, taking a last glimpse at the beautiful, but decrepit hall.
